Hey! I have two channels, but this is my musical channel. I don't upload often (yet) and mostly do covers, but I'm planning on uploading once a week once summer hits and once I get some more subs mostly doing original songs. http://www.youtube.com/user/tillthetwitterlight

It's really good, but there are some spots where I can't really understand what your saying. There's also a spot 'and it's too cold outside' the outside goes down really low and you're having a bit of trouble getting that note out clearly. It's really good, just nitpicky things that need fixing, really.

So, I've been thinking a lot lately, and I've wanted to do this for a long, long time. I really want to try out for the X Factor. I would do it online, and I already know what I would probably sing. (attached) I would like to know the possible risks as well as the possible benefits of trying out. Please let me know what you think, I need to know how big of a chance I might have to make it. I warm up by first stretching, bending over, twisting, etc. Then I do ee up aaah down. Then, going down, e a ah oh ooh. And I finish off with a scale. (do-do and back down then do mi sol mi do fa la fa do mi so mi do ti do, with the last ti being a step below do.)

Hi! So I sang a cover of L-O-V-E by Nat 'King' Cole for critique. I was wondering what you guys thought? If you haven't heard the original song, I'm only singing the first bit because it repeats, but please go listen. Please take a look, and forgive the not wonderful sound quality, my laptop's mic isn't so great. It's approximately one minute long.

1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? I sing and I play various instruments. What instruments? I play the flute for concert band, trumpet and bass for jazz band, and I am sort of teaching myself bits and pieces on the piano. When did you start playing? I started playing the piano when I was about seven. The flute I started learning in fifth grade, trumpet in seventh, and bass in ninth. Did you teach yourself? I taught myself to play piano and trumpet, but flute and bass were taught to me. 2. Are you in a band or bands? Other than concert band and jazz band, no. What is the name of the band? If I were to start a band (which hopefully I will do soon with friends) we would consider many different names, though right now we are most considering either "Undeniable Distaster" or "Unacceptable" What do you play? I would be lead singer and play bass. What other instruments are in the band? One of my friends would play electric guitar, one of my friends would play drums, and another piano. Do you have a band website? No. 3. Do you write songs? I do. Do you write lyrics, music or both? Mostly just lyrics, though I improvise in jazz band a lot and I'm working on the backgrounds for a lot of my music. Do you have a writing partner? No, not really, though a friend and I did collaborate on one song. 4. Do you record your music? I try to, but because I'm only able to use my laptop for recording purposes and I have to have utter silence in the house to do so, it doesn't happen often. Do you use a home studio? If so what gear do you use? No. Do you use a recording studio? No. Do you have music available on the web? if so where? Yes, on Youtube... But I'm planning on deleting all of those videos soon as they all have very low sound quality. 5. What other roles do you perform in the music business? Management? Label owner? Publishing? Promotion? Other?\ No, but I plan on becoming a singer. 6. Are you a tech head? Not really, but my dad is and he helps a lot. 7. What country do you live in? United States. 8. What are your ambitions? I would love to become a singer/songwriter. 9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? I doodle sometimes, and I do write stories a lot, mostly fanfiction. What are your pastimes? I read and write and cruise Facebook and Stumbleupon. 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? My goal here is to get constructive criticism on my song lyrics so I can improve and become better.
