  1. Hey John, I really appreciate your comment. There is so much talent out there and on this site. I'm happy that you took the time to watch and listen. Be well, David
  2. Hi Lisa, thank you for taking the time to watch my video. I haven't been on songstuff in a while, so your comment was nice to see. All the best, David
  3. Thank you Tom. I appreciate your time and comment. David
  4. Hi folks, this is a new video for my song "Sometimes". My brother and I made the video as we are practicing to create videos for my music as well as others. The only issue we had was that I recorded the song live in 4 takes and I didn't use a click track. We had a tough time editing the 4 live audio tracks to the video tracks. We will never do another video like this again. Way too exhausting. I welcome feedback good or bad. Cheers, David
  5. Ok cool, thank you! David
  6. Hi forum, I was wondering if there is a good place on songstuff (forum) to post a new video? My brother and I have been experimenting with making videos for my music as well as other artists. Any help would be great! Thanks, David
  7. If you're looking to collaborate, you should check out kompoz.com The site is designed for collaboration. You won't be disappointed. Good luck! David
  8. I haven't heard the song yet but I really love the lyrics. It shows that love and intimacy isn't only physical and one can dream and fantasize with pure emotion and imagination. This is just my own interpretation of the lyric. Great job and I'm looking forward to listening to the song. David
  9. Your lyrics are honest and I feel where you're coming from. I agree with the others on this point, make it clear what are the verses, chorus and if bridge if there is one. Listen to songs that move you and make notes on changes in tempo, verses etc. You're off to a great start, just remember that song writing is a process. It's not like writing in a journal where there's no need for rhyming or story telling. Keep it up and don't get discouraged. Tryng to write words that explain an emotion is not easy. Be a student of this art and you'll see your own growth as a song writer. I've been writing for over 20 years and I'm still learning. Good luck to you!
  10. Hi forum, My name is David Dolinsky and I'm new here. I've been writing for years and I'm still learning about song writing and structure. I now listen to songs that I grew up with and listen even more carefully to the lyrics and how the song was put together. I tend to write more often when I'm feeling down, so it helps me get through my day to day. I look forward to sharing with this community, David
