  1. PRS 24 Custom, PRS McCarty, 62 Gibson Les Paul Classic, Gibson Les Paul Studio, Fender Strat, G&L ASAT neck on Explorer body, Gibson SG, 1934 Gibson acoustic, Takemine Garth Brooks model acoustic, Taylor Grand Symphony acoustic, Martin D28, Martin backpacker, Gibson "Potatoe-bug" mandolin, Johnson electric mandolin, LC Kiesel lap-steel, National Dobro, Ibanez 4-string electric bass, Peavey 5-string active electric bass, Ibanez acoustic bass,...I think that about covers my guitars..unless I trade some keyboards, violins, saxophones, concertina, or drums for a few more...
  2. My system is a Mackie DL1608 mixer that runs via ipad controls with three Carvin 900 in-ear monitor transmitters with one of each sub-mix going to one of their stereo inputs. This gives me a total of six individual mono-monitor mixes or three stereo mixes. The FOH is through a DBX RX unit that sets eq, controls feed-back, and optomizes sound for the room. I run below 80hrz to a pair of 18" Peavey sub-woofers and the rest to a pair of 450 watt Mackie powerd speakers. Takes me less than a half hour to set up and sound chech and less to take down. I can accurately reinforce a solo performer or a six piece band with unbelievable fidelity inmost rooms. Best of all, is that the performers can control their own monitor mix via their smartphone or ipad and all I have to worry about is the front of the house.
  3. I have switched totally to Carvin in-ear monitors and love them. Less equipment to haul, and my mixer lets each musician control their own individual monitor mix using an ipad or smartphone so "more me" is no longer a pain in the ass. My mixer is also controlled by an ipad and that eleminates the need for an audio snake, I just set the mixer stage-side and the soundman walks around the room with his ipad, setting all the mix.
  4. I use a mandolin, dobro, banjo, and sometimes a bit of fiddle. Recently, I wrote a song using a concertina that was kind of cool.
  5. Welcome to the forums Darrell Wallace :)
