I wrote this song my heart told me to. It is one of the hardest songs I have ever written. I wrote it numerous times over the past couple of years, trashing all of them. But two weeks ago at 4:00 a.m. it was like God woke me up and said it is time to finish this song, so He and I did, and it ended up completely different than any of my previous attempts. This song comes from the heartbreak that families feel everyday that are dealing with alzheimer's. Like I said….this was a tough song to write, but thanks to God it is finished. This song is called "Broken Glass".

We finished up the demo on this newest song this past Tuesday, but it has been so busy at work that I am just now getting around to posting it. It turned out just how I wanted and I couldn't be happier with it. The song has that great retro sound from the past, but is fresh enough for the current country radio market. At least I hope it does! Thanks everyone for listening, and for your undying support. I hope you enjoy it.

Amid all the craziness of being really busy at work, and participating in a city park build here in my hometown, we managed to get a new demo recorded this week. To quote my songplugger after hearing the finished song "MAN O MAN, .....goose bumps and tear drops guys! This is AWESOME!!!!!"
I hope you all enjoy the new song.
Best Always,
Marvin

Nashville is currently polarized with half of the music community being bro-country, and the other half embracing a more retro style of country music. One good example is the success this year by Chris Stapleton. This newest song was recorded with a retro country sound thus giving it that "new old" country music feel, which fit very well with the lyrics. I hope you enjoy the listen!
