  1. If the font looks like something you can find on Microsoft WordArt, or something you can easily drag around into position on a computer (note: looks like. It could be that way but yet not look like it), it probably won't see professional enough. Think The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. when it comes to ways to approach fonts. Let your own ideas dominate.
  2. I'm planning to visit a number of music shops for some time and learn as much as I can from trying them out before settling down on something I really want. Thanks guys.
  3. That thing about the hammond b3 plug-in... how does it work? You download it after payment and connect it to a sampler and then connect the sampler to the controller keyboard?

  5. Thanks for the replies, guys. It's mainly for playing (ie gigging, but with no audience), but in time to come I do intend to do recording with it. The loading of additional sounds is not necessary, because most such organs/keyboards come with a huge list of preset sounds, and most are adequate. However, if they are lacking the essential Vox Continental and Hammond organ sounds, I'll have to add them in. What about those types of keyboards that can playback something and have you play together with it? Like allowing you to play one part instrument (eg bass) and then play over the bass, as if you were playing multitrack? Must I have a computer attached in order to do that? Thanks.
  6. Well, I want to get the most bang for buck keyboard, because I don't happen to earn my own money (yet). Most keyboards on sale have a huge range of sounds already, but I also want it to: 1.) Have the VOX continental sound 2.) Hammond organ sound (not as essential as the above) 3.) Can add more sounds Preferably have some similarity to the piano too, touch-wise and with pedals. I'm sure there are keyboardists around here who know a thing or two...

    Melodies

I've been very busy, and a tad bit troubled to have the mood for writing anything, so there. As for recording devices, probably not anything anytime soon. I'm still thinking of a keyboard/organ to play around with, but that's when I have more time and am in a better mood. Sorry.
  8. I knew it, I need to start getting a decent keyboard/organ that has a good variety of sounds and tones to play around with... ... especially that lovable VOX Continental sound!
  9. Honesty is important, but so is presentation of the response.

    Piracy

The albums are expensive because of the tremendous technology used to render converting to mp3 harmful?

    Piracy

    ... that's a little too extreme, no?
  12. Lennon/McCartney (they're both darn good!) Roger Daltrey (especially in the later songs like those in Who's Next and Quadrophenia, when he really demonstrates great control in all the havoc) Jim Morrison Rob Halford Ian Gillan Ronnie James Dio David Lee Roth Go figure. I could have thrown in Rod Evans... but still...
