  1. Looking for an Indie rock/pop Lyricist

To answer your question, yes and no. I'll send you a message and explain.
  2. Ok, so I have a lot of music and even vocal melodies but I'm not too into writing lyrics, it's basically like homework for me and I don't enjoy doing it because i don't do it well and I'm usually just "meh" about what I've come up with. I am very specific about the type of lyrics I like. I'm a fan of imagery, metaphors and just interesting or clever lyrics. I'm not looking for the norm cliche lyrics, I can write those. I'm looking for someone who listens to and enjoys the stylings of modern day indie rock. Bands like, Wye Oak, Widowspeak, Sharon Van Etten, Portugal. The Man, The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie, Washed Out, Beach House, etc. If you can write like Ben Gibbard or James Mercer or remotely similar to any of the above bands or bands similar to those, I'd love to hear from you. I'm not looking for sappy love songs or cliches. Just think INDIE ROCK and you'll be in the area of what I'm after. Thanks and hope to find some collaborators soon! Mark PS - if you have links to some of your work that'd be most helpful as well.
  3. Here's a cover of The Outfield's "Your Love" that one of my bands, Witherwolf, covered about a year ago. It was produced, recorded and mixed by myself and mastered by Focus Mastering (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, She & Him, M. Ward, Black Mountain, Sea Wolf, and more.) It's quite a different take on the song. I find it a bit boring when cover songs are pretty true to the original, It's much more interesting to me when an artist puts their own style into it and that's what we did. I hope you like it!
