Freddie Mercury , i still haven't heard anyone with a better voice till this day...

For me , music gets ruined year by year , all the good sounds are made way back...

Self teaching is a good way to learn the instrument ,but imo you should have some basic lessons , just to learn the right ways to play the instrument. You will definitely find out something you didn't know before. I for one played piano by ear , but my hand movement was all wrong , until i took a lesson.

What has worked for me is going to karaoke parties ! Trust me it works like a charm
