  1. Thanks Ken! Haha, you know, if I knew how to do that effect you are talking about, I totally would have... I just couldn't figure it out so I did it "manually" with my voice
  2. Thanks man! As for your songs, I definitely like the second one a lot more, there just seems to be a more natural flow and a catchier theme!
  3. So for those of you who have been on this forum for some time, this is my third song and am exploring yet another genre. Its more "pop"ish, with a hint of Ed Sheeran, but also a nice bass line that gives it a dance-y vibe! Would love critique of the song as a whole!
  4. I love the accent of the rapper, and the lyrics aren't cheesy either! Well done!
  5. I enjoyed the song, its clean and catchy! If I'm looking for some constructive criticism to give, I would love to see a bit more vocal variation personally, like hitting higher notes and making more noticeable vocal inflections if that makes sense. You have a low voice which works well with the song, but those higher notes are the ones that leave the audience in awe.
  6. Hey Emily! I liked this song a lot!! I heard the other song you posted on here a while back and I like this one more! I think your song could benefit from just a touch of reverb and some focused echoes (like snipping the end of certain words and echoing only them). But structure-wise and performance-wise, its beautifully done!
  7. I know this isn't a great review of the song itself since I don't usually listen to this type of music, but it sounds like the song in the La La Land preview, so very well done, given how well that film did with awards and such
  8. Dude, I'm vibing to this, well done! I love right at about 0:55 where is picks up and pans, I think thats a nice thing that you added! I don't know how much structure there is (verse, chorus, etc.) but the sound of it is fantastic!!
  9. Wow @ImKeN, thank you for comparing me to David Archuleta... I consider that a huge compliment I am in the process of making more music and figuring out what I enjoy the most, but thank you for giving me a bit of direction about what you think might sound good with my voice All the best in your own work!
  10. REALLY like these lyrics, very original and seemingly personal. I would love to hear a rough demo of the song if you have one! I'm assuming this is more of a country/roots song but I like the track that you're on.
  11. Hey everyone! I posted for my first time on here a week or so ago and wrote and recorded another song in between that time and now. I am just trying to find "my voice" or the genre where I can really shine as an artist and would appreciate feedback on this most recent song. (I know the mixing may not be 100%, I'm making all of this out of my college dorm room ) Lyrics below... My hands are tired from healing the pain, so far away but I’m still feeling the same. Its crazy how your words catch fire, its like you rule an empire. You got me questioning what happened to the love, to our one great nation under God. Try to forget the hate when I sing this song. We can walk down this road, but we can’t do this alone. We gotta learn from our past and move on… To the better days Come together, arm in arm, staying strong through the eye of the storm To the better days Spread a smile, walk the extra mile, on the road to the better days. I wanna feel the rush, I wanna feel free, bask in the light of the American Dream And if you’re hanging on by a wire, hang on and climb higher You got me questioning what happened to this place, to a time of happiness and grace. We won’t go quiet into the night. We just keep moving moving moving moving onnnnnnn…. To the better days Come together, arm in arm, staying strong through the eye of the storm To the better days Spread a smile, walk the extra mile, on the road to the better days.
  12. Hey TCgypsy, fellow Virginian here! Really like your track, it has a very relaxing vibe, but there are a few parts that I feel try to stray away from this chill vibe and its a little "confusing". I also definitely feel an 80's vibe at times, which I personally like but not sure if that was what you were going for
  13. Wow, thanks for all the feedback everyone. I really appreciate all of it, both positive and constructive
  14. So this is a song I wrote that has a more "Future Bass" vibe to it but still is hopefully catchy. Would love to hear what you think! Stars, we’re the stars in the sky above, we make a constellation of love. And no matter where we’re going, we’re glowing. Our names up on the marquis, we live our life on a tv screen. We’re just living like stars We’re living like stars. Oh we’re just living like stars. Stars, our songs are playing on the radio There’s cameras flashing wherever we go. Now that we’re here we’re gonna run this show, Yeah we’re stars so we better glow. Our names up on the marquis, we live our life on a tv screen. We’re just living like stars We’re living like stars. Oh we’re just living like stars. The universe is full of darkness, imagine if the world was starless. No way to see the beauty that surrounds us. Everything’s gonna be alright cause the stars will bring the light. We’re just living like stars. We’re living like stars. Stars, we dance, in the dark of the night We laugh and we love and we doing alright Oh we’re just living like stars.
  15. Dude I honestly love it! I definitely don't think its too "dated" and even if it does kind of have those vibes, they may be making a comeback. I mean look at Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm"... That is screaming retro haha! Well done man!
