  1. Nice one Steve, that'd be cool... I know, I know. Don't know what it is about them, I should be a big fan, but I'm just sort of indifferent about them. I'll give 'em another go at some point. D* Edit - cheers for the links Bitstream and Hari. My next question would have been about VST's. I'll have fun playing about with them. And Hari, that's just what I was after mate - cheers.
  2. Don't have any Led Zep unfortuanatley. I'll se if I can get my hands on an mp3 of that track through. D*
  3. Cheers John. I was messing about with this again last night, and its very easy to use. I already had a small drum sequence created, and put the midi through the SR 202 VST. I then sampled the drums from the intro to 'Scentless Apprentice' on Nirvanas 'In Utero' (If you don't know the song, the first 4 bars are purely drums), and split in into separate drum hit samples in Soundforge. Its then very easy to assign each sample to a key using the SR 202. Once the samples are loaded, you can mess about with attack, velocity, pitch, sustain etc to get the shound you want. You can also transpose which is quite neat. By the end on the editing, I had a cool little kit which I was able to save, and the sequence sounded great. I might even get some pots and pans out, and record some hits, see what I can do with them. Any tracks you know that has a coulpe of bars with just drums? Think I may also try Stevie Wonders 'Superstitious' as I love the sound of the kit on that track. D*
  4. Muon This seems to be the source of the VST - although you can pick up the VST on pretty much any Computer Music cover disk. It does say if you register on the site, you can download some kits. So I registered but haven't recieved an activation email as yet. We'll have to wait and see. D*
  5. Looks like there are quite a few links for single drum hit samples that I can use with the SR 202, but do any of you guys have / know where I can get my hands on custom kits for it? Cheers D*
