  1. nice work man
  2. Appreciate the feedback srm2888.. The sample is from a sample pack called eLAB; Smoker's Relight Deux. Not sure if it's from a song or not. I see what you mean about how you interpreted it, that's what I love about music, everyone gets something a little different from it. Thanks again.
  3. The Beats, Vol. 4 (2014) Release Date: 8/28/2014 Label: Fight Club Music Hey fellas, this is my latest project “The Beats, Vol. 4â€. I worked really hard throughout the year on this, learning new techniques, trying to sounds out, going outside my comfort zone, it was definitely a learning experience. This volume has a little something for everyone, no matter what genre you like. Anyways you can stream or download it for free from either Soundcloud or Bandcamp (links below). So I’d appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes out of your day and give it a listen, thanks! 4. I've always enjoyed this song so gave it a go and tried to remake it.. letmme know what you think https://soundcloud.com/roymega/the-yeah-yeah-yeahs-maps-roymega-remix
  5. okay maybe "uplifting" was the wrong word to use, but it certainly has an energy to it that gets you excited IMO and once you hear the version w/ lyrics I think you'll see what I mean. Thanks for the feedback guys and nice suggestions both HoboSage and starise.
  6. Thanks for the compliments jdate, I'm glad you liked it. And yes there are plans of recording over it, a collaboration of some local artists
  7. Thanks for the feedback Achazia, appreciate you taking the time to listen to it. Yes we plan on recording over this very shortly.. We're envisioning it as kind of a party type song that gets people hyped.
  8. Hey guys it's called Never Let You Down, supposed to be kind of an uplifting party vibe to it.. lmk what you thinkm thanks
  9. The idea with the bells is too accentuate the vocals in the chorus. I can see what you're saying about delaying the piano but I like opening with it, just personal preference I guess, it all sounds the same after a few measures. I can see what I can do to add a little flavor to the second half to bring it on home so-to-speak, I'll play around with some things. Thanks for the feedback man, really appreciate it
  10. Thanks for the listen and the feedback Achazia, really appreciate it. Yes we'll be recording over it hopefully this weekend and have a finished project shortly after that. I agree that it's a bit loud in some parts but I can fix that once we get vocals recorded.
  11. Here's a beat I've been working on the past couple of days, let me know what you think. https://soundcloud.com/roymega/where-do-we-go-now
  12. Here's a track we recorded this past weekend over an old beat of mine, let me know what you think.. it's still not complete, but I'd like to get an idea of what you think so far https://soundcloud.com/roymega/backwordz-cry-wolf-feat-jon
  13. If you want studio quality, go buy a freakin' album.. this is a critique board for a reason. While I see where you're coming from I don't believe you see where the people post are coming from. They're not looking to necessarily post a hit on the Hot 40, they just want a critique on their song. What they do with it is their business. This isn't Motown, this isn't the Berklee College of Music and shouldn't be treated as such. It's an open forum, open to the public, if you don't want to critique or don't like the music posted than just log off, simple as that.
  14. nice work on the song, can't really say anything that hasn't been said already as far as a critique, but your voice is made for a heavy rock band! (ie. Queens of the Stone Age or the like).
  15. She's saying, "Sleep with me tonight, so that I can dream" it's muffled to add ambience.. The whisper is the pad that I added to the beat Only tool I'm using is FL Studio and various VSTi mastering tools.. I've got a direction for the song, just not quite finished with it. I'll see what I can do about adding a bass line
