  1. Hello there We are an Italian electro alternative rock band. Our project was born in Rome in 2015, founded by Elle (Vox, Synth) and Lucio De Angelis (Drums, Electronic pad). The band ranges from rock to electronic, touching genres such as dubstep. We enjoy Telling stories that, starting from the particular, become universal, engaging any listener because of the depth of the lyrics.
  2. Very happy to be here! Thank you, Songstuff.com ))) I am a physically disabled artist, living in projects. I spend my, last pennies to make music... Some of the tracks are produced and mastered, without using hands. As far as anyone knows, I'm the only person to do this. I am on a lookout for a person to help me promote my music. Since I am homebound, it is extremely difficult for me to get to a potential listener.
  3. I'm glad that i managed to find a forum like this where I can speak with others who are passionate about music although i have no idea if a post like this is appropriate here. I'm from London and i have a project, a band, called restless taxis that i started with a few friends in school. our influences include sonic youth, dinosaur jr, swirlies mbv, stereolab, duster, smashing pumpkins deep wound, fugazi and minor threat right now there is 3 of us and we're completely independent. i record and produce our music and as we have matured as musicians, my will to share our work with as many people as possible has grown exponentially. right now, we're completely unheard of, but i don't want it to be like that. originally, i had no idea how to get shows at all so the idea for putting on our own all ages free entry DIY house shows made perfect sense to me because as long as we could get people there, it would be worth it. We pulled one off back in february and it was a lot of fun but we haven't had the chance to do another because ive been busy with schoolwork. in summer we definitely intend to play lots of other shows. The reason i'm sharing this on this forum is because i want anyone and everyone who is vaguely interested in this to be a part of it so we can have new people coming to them and i can make new friends who love music/ in general the idea of things like this, being a part of something. i really want to do something special with this band and i think i can. even if you don't live in london you could listen and share our music if you enjoy it, and if you do (live in london), you could come to our DIY shows and support the independent music scene. I'm also looking for advice so if anyone with experience with this stuff has ideas for growing this project, i would like to hear them. the SuRIKE youtube acccount is where you can find media of our band as well as our instagram page restlesstaxis we have a song out on spotify which is decent and a few on soundcloud/ bandcamp you can contact me on instagram at _michaelisnt thanks for reading ------MICHAEL ASUKYLE
  4. PIERA, the alternative duo, have released their new hit single “Unraveling,” on Spotify, and music lovers are buzzing! PIERA is comprimsed of Los Angeles residents, Piera Klein and Micah Plissner. The duo encourages their listeners to make art, enjoy nature, and arouse their consciousness as they listen to “Unraveling.” Some of you new listeners and fans of PIERA may not know what their sound is! To us, it is a mix of alternative, electronic, underground, beat-driven, synth pop, with some slight psychedelic undertones. Throw in some haunting vocals and you have a sound created by PIERA, which sounds like no one else. PIERA have been influenced and listen to many of their contemporary and classical influences: such as Klaus Schulze, The Swans, Broadcast, Suicide, Neu, Jon Maus, and the Knife (to just name a few). Whether you’re a fan of Drab Majesty, or are already a fan of PIERA, we recommend you listen to “Unraveling”! “Unraveling” isn’t the only release from the very talented recording artists. To add to your PIERA listening party, “As Good As You” and “Cosmic Reaction” are available on Spotify for streaming as well! PIERA are only going up from here, as they’ve recently made their way to radio. You’ll be hearing much more from them soon, that’s for sure, and we can’t wait for what’s next in store. We will keep you updated! Check out all things PIERA on the website at www.PIERAmusic.net Stay up to date on all of PIERA’s new releases here!
  5. PIERA, electronic pop duo, have released their new single “Unraveling,” on Spotify. Very much inspired by synth-electronic 70’s band Kraftwerk, this song is sure to get you dancing. PIERA is made up of Los Angeles residents, Piera Klein and Micah Plissner. The duo encourages their listeners to make art, enjoy nature, and arouse their consciousness as they listen to “Unraveling.” The pair has quite the diverse background; Micah, originally from New York City, is a multi-instrumentalist and producer and Piera, born and raised in California, is a singer, songwriter, and composer. Their sound varies from electronic to synth pop, with definitive psychedelic undertones and haunting vocals. “Unraveling” is the first release you can hear from the band, and it doesn’t disappoint. They also recently released two other highly anticipated singles, “Cosmic Reaction” and “As Good As You.” We can’t wait to hear what they put out next! Check out all things PIERA on the website at www.PIERAmusic.net Stay up to date on all of PIERA’s new releases here!
  6. First music video I've made for one of my songs. The effect was done using software I'm writing based on a slit-scan effect. Would love to know what people think.
  7. So I really like to experiment with the music that I make, especially in the sense of straying away from the run-of-the-mill 3-chord songs. Big influences: Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix 19 years old Hope y'all dig my stuff, check my profile.
  8. Music Marketing Challenge #1 - Dakota Cochran | Ok, a very simple music marketing challenge. Take a track of yours on either Soundcloud or YouTube. Sceenshot the current song stats including plays, post the pic in reply to this topic. Write a blog post that embeds the song on either of those platforms (if you don’t have a blog, start one for your band here on Songstuff!) Share that blog post into your Facebook, Twitter and Google+ Do everyhing you can legitimately promote your song, blog post, and social media posts. Don’t break the rules or TOS of any site you promote on. 7 days later, post a screenshot of your post likes, shares etc, your blog post likes, and your song plays. Come back and explain your promotion, what you did how you did it! | Originally posted by: John Moxey The Results From Dakota Cochran's (Take 1)

  10. Hey guys, I'm Sam (female, 25, Chinese Malaysian). I've never been much of a forum user, but since my duo band Seraphine (I provide the vocals, British Peter does EVERYTHING else, and we both write) is finally releasing our first album sometime next year, I thought I'd get around the online community and see what's happening. I don't actually know the genre of our music. Probably alternative - there are some twangy strings, some weird instruments that sound good when mixed together haha. We have a YouTube channel - it's practically dead with no original content for now, just a couple of covers. I have my own channel , nothing big too but if you want to check out, you're more than welcome Thanks for reading! Ask if you have any questions! I look forward to being an active member here
  11. Be sure to check out Limited Time's debut EP out now! If your into new independent rock/alternative music your gonna love Limited Time! Listen here:
  12. Hey guys, I just finished this track, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some constructive feedback. Cheers!

  14. I'm Joe Antaine Uk based piano playing singer/songwriter influenced by Billy Joel, Jimmy Webb, F.O.B, Panic, Ray Charles, Fun, Pink and just about anything out there to one extent or the other. I am not a music stylist and tie myself to a genre, maybe someone could help me categorise my stuff. Check my youtube if you'd be so kind. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh6SY9BsLP53FlK-_4SMazw
  15. This is a cover I did of Neil Young's classic. I managed to persuade my two daughters to do the backing vocals: https://soundcloud.com/nego-nielsen/heart-of-gold
  16. I need some criticism for this piece. It's not completely solid, yet. I hope it doesn't sound too cheesy. I wrote this about an hour ago. It's about 3:40 am right now. sorry I'm not spoiled like you sorry I don't get paid every time i do the dishes like you sorry people like you, more than me sorry you opened your heart for me, but I said run free sorry I declined your kickback, you gave me a panic attack, I'm not even lying about that go f*cking wild in your head and write text posts about me you know damn well I'm just that insane, that I'll be doing the same sorry I'd rather hurt myself than hurt the person standing right in front of me don't you see, I'm f*cking imploding But it's all good cause you got all your friends ready for my exposing Just cause you got more numbers doesn't mean you're better than me this all just feels like a waiting game all these relationships in the end are all the same this is just a long list of bottled emotions I'm not trying to start any commotion
  17. Hi - I've been playing music most of my life, mostly in cover bands but for a while in the 90s I was into traditional Celtic stuff and wrote a few tunes for accordion / fiddle / mandolin and played in a few ceilidh bands. Started writing my own songs when I turned 60 and found a bass player and a drummer to form a 3 piece, Doghaus. The songs can be loosely described as "alternative" in style but have elements of roots, rock and blues. I sing the vocals, play acoustic and electric guitars and have added other stuff to the recordings, like accordion and mandolin. This was the first band I had ever attempted lead vocals and it was a steep learning curve! We have played round the Inverness area for a couple of years but it's getting harder to get gigs are there aren't that many venues who want original stuff, it's mostly pubs looking for cover bands. All of us have been there and got the tee shirt when it comes to doing weekends away or overnights for gigs and don't want to go there again, so that is also a limiting factor. To be realistic, at this end of the spectrum we're not expecting too much, just happy enough if people like the music. We have recorded about 8 original songs to date, find them on Reverbnation to Soundcloud. (soundcloud.com/doghaus-2). We are also on Facebook ( look for Doghaus Inverness - there is another Doghaus in the US who are a heavy metal band but we've never heard of them either)

I am a singer/songwriter and I play harp and piano. I'm not entirely sure which genre to put myself under. I hope that is okay! I am inspired (mainly) by folk, pop and alternative music! 22. Hi guys, I'm a pretty new member and this is my band/project's new demo. If I had to put a label on us, I'd probably say we're sort of post-rock/alt rock, but I'm not really too sure myself Please leave thoughts/opinions as I need as many as I can get. https://soundcloud.com/sam-wilfan/blue-winter-soul Thanks
