  1. I think I'm getting close with my mixes, I'm pretty dang happy with this, I see it's not... it's sort of crammed together, or like... forced to work, but I kinda like that. Reminds me of those 70's and 80's punk bands that produced themselves and it came out awful and gorgeous at the same time. Still suggestions are appreciated cause it could always be better. Oh yeah and the song too, I'm not... the vocal isn't kiilllling me, but with all the difficulties I've had lately I feel like I need to settle at some point just to get something out there, confidence will probably come as I get positive feedback again. Anywho... I'm talking too much, here's the song.
  2. This Is Heaven Verse 1: I wonder what it's like To walk on streets of gold Experiencing life Where time has no control To live without this fleshly man of death having only thoughts of righteousness Although this place is hard to comprehend I'll hold this blessed hope with confidence Chorus: This, this is Heaven This, this is Heaven No more sorrow, no more pain Every tear's been wiped away All the former doubts and fears are gone Then I'll see my Savior's face Full of wonder of His grace Oh to finally hear those words "Well done" Welcome home This is Heaven Verse 2: I'll take my final breath And reach the finish line This passage we call death A temporary lie For all the battles won and sometimes lost Thank God I never failed to count the cost I'm going to a place prepared for me And with eternal eyes I'll finally see
  3. Thank You God Filled with shame Mind enslaved My heart’s chained My soul caged But I don’t want to be this way My own way Big mistake Such a fake This charade But I didn’t want to be this way Then I prayed Jesus came Now awake Now I’m saved I Thank God for amazing grace Life remade So amazed Sins erased Celebrate I Thank God for amazing grace Thank God for amazing grace Thank God for amazing grace I thank You God for amazing grace (c) Tony Pistilli 2016
  4. This is not a finished song yet, needs fast bridge part. I am very new at mixing so any comments/critique welcome. I already tweaked the eq on cymbols to take off the harsh high end and dialed back a bit on the reverb. A Prophetic Déjà vu Verse1: Earthquakes, famine, sickness, floods Implanted chip security Good called evil, evil good Lose your head if you dare believe Pre-chorus: Is it just happenstance, coincidence of circumstance? Chorus: The signs are all around you Put together two and two The bible speaks and it seems to be A prophetic déjà vu A prophetic déjà vu It's a prophetic déjà vu Verse 2: Matching up the ancient names With current nations in the news As they march in their campaigns Just as predicted right on cue Chorus Instrumental (idea - with end times scripture reading - deep voice) Bridge: Words that were written about the last days Are making up the headlines of the front page Chorus Ending: It’s a prophetic déjà vu (x3) Happening right in front of you
  5. Chorus: See the signs around you Put together two and two The bible speaks and it seems to be A prophetic déjà vu A prophetic déjà vu It's a prophetic déjà vu Verse 2: Matching up the ancient names With current nations in the news As they march in their campaigns Just as predicted, right on cue Pre-chorus, Chorus Verse 3: Many can't be bothered by The singing of the preacher's song Phantom lives consumed online Corroding minds, destroying souls Bridge: Words that were written about the last days Are making up the headlines of the front page Chorus Ending: It’s a prophetic déjà vu (x3) (It’s) Happening right in front of you

  7. I just got this demo done. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks for listening!!! THE STRANGER On a cold night I passed an old man walking By the roadside with his thumb held in the air I pulled over and asked where he was going He said just traveling son, not really headed anywhere His eyes looked tire, His coat was torn and ragged The gloves on his hands were wearing thin I went against my better judgment Opened my door and let him in He sat down in the front seat beside me He said thank you for being a kind soul For offering a ride to an old stranger And giving me some warmth against the cold And as we drove along he talked about Jesus He said he knew my heart was troubled He could ease my every care I said "Thank you sir, but I'm not a believer" When I turned to look at him, the Stranger wasn't there I pulled my car over to the roadside Got out on my knees and tried to pray It had been so long I had almost forgotten But I know he heard each word I had to say I cried "Thank you Lord for sending the Old Stranger For opening my eyes and helping me to see Please have mercy on this poor sinner Take my hand, help me to believe." On that night I met another stranger Who had waited by life's road so patiently He has given me a life that's eternal He saved my soul and set my spirit free He saved my soul and set my spirit free.

  9. Hi All! I've been looking at this since August. little changes here and there. I'm not sure this is a good title? My titles usually come in the chorus but this title is in the bridge so I'm open to suggestions for sure on this! Happy with Me by Lisa Gates 8/2/15 Father I'm shaking Protect me from myself I feel the walls caving in You can see where I fell Father I'm praying Hearing voices in my head Telling me to turn left When "Go Right" is what you said Chorus: In this crazy life When being wrong is ok I'll call out to Jesus Please make the dark go away Father I'm running From what you want me to be If I only listen I'll hear that You believe Bridge: This is the path, the path I am on Is there a light shining, shining down? From where You are Where You want me to be Is how I make You Happy with me
  10. This is a song we are putting on our new album that we have just began working on. It is about the hell that people go through with addictions. Infierno means hell.
  11. Look Upon Me (Christian) By Tony Pistilli Verse 1: I’m Ezekiel’s bones Lying on the dry ground Bleached out memories Scattered all around Every fragment a remnant Of the warrior I used to be So I’ll prophesy to these old bones What’s impossible for me Is as easy as breathing For the One who died for me When I really try to seek Him So I gaze up to the heavens and I pray… Chorus: Jesus would you look upon me With the grace and the fullness Of Your love You’re the only hope that I need Let the breath of Your spirit Give me life I don’t want to be The man that I’ve been But the man That You called me to be Jesus would you look upon me Verse 2: I am Lazarus bound In a tattered grey shroud Cold and unmoving On my secluded cloud While the stench of indifference Causes grief to all my family But I believe in the Giver of life What’s impossible for me Is as easy as breathing For the One who died for me When I really try to seek Him So I gaze up to the heavens and I pray… Bridge: When I stumble and fall Or give up the call When the enemy strikes And I’m losing the fight When the fire dies down Or smothered by doubt When I fall on my face And I’m losing the race Then I’ll gaze up to the heavens and pray…
  12. YOU FOUND ME Verse 1: I was losing my mind Losing control Losing my way And losing my soul That's when I found You Or should I say You found me Verse 2: I was wasting my life Numbing my pain Starving my will And wasting away That's when I found You Or should I say You found me Chorus: O Lord I am so grateful that you looked my way And saw my desperate plight Cause no one else could see right through my masquerade Propped up by foolish pride Just like a little child who wanders Far away from home While chasing phantom butterflies Wherever they may roam When darkness started closing in That is when You found me Verse 3: You have salvaged my life Covered my shame Washed all my sin And salvaged my name Because I found You Or should I say You found me Chorus
  13. Here is a lyric for a Christian country song. Please critique/comment. Thanks. More Than Six Feet Deep Verse 1: Gotta “COEXIST” bumper sticker On the back of my pickup truck And I pray before eatin’ my dinner. Go to church when I’m down on my luck Gotta bobble-headed virgin Mary On the dashboard to keep me safe But I lost a tooth in a fender bender When she flew right into my face If I’m coverin’ all my bases… why the heck ain’t it workin’? Chorus: What’s it all about Why do I keep Breathing in and out Eat, sleep, repeat And how can I know when I go That it will be…. More than six feet deep More than six feet deep Verse 2: Gotta hardback Gideon bible That I stole from the Motel 6 But it's hard to read all those thee's and thou's My minds just a bit too thick Gotta an extra burger and some french fries For that dude with the cardboard sign Then I saw him leave about an hour later In a car that was better than mine If I’m coverin’ all my bases… why the heck ain’t it workin’? Chorus Bridge: (gonna dump this and come up with something else - suggestions?) Well you can know where you’ll go When you die, pray tonight Turn from sin ask Jesus in The choice is yours… Or go on and on asking yourself…… New Bridge: I’m scratchin’ my head here ponderin’ About something my granddad said “You can get it right with the Lord tonight Or spend the rest of your life still wondering” Chorus
  14. I wrote these lyrics that I think would be good for a heavy rock Christian song but I cannot come up with an original or interesting composition. Anyone want to help, send message. Thanks, Tony
  15. Hello!! Here is a rough recording of my new song I just finished writing. I literally recorded this on my iphone as I was punching out some chords on the piano. Let me know what you guys think of the melody and the lyrics which I listed below. Also if anyone is feeling extremely inclined and brave, I still am looking for a producer for this track!!! I would love to do a collaboration with someone on here for that! https://soundcloud.com/nicole-milillo/all-he-made-rough-recording VERSE I The beauty that surrounds us it may astound us/ He lives in every creature every flower/ and he sees/ us all/ for the beauty in our souls/ cause it shines/ like the stars/ glowing in the night CHORUS Just think of all he made/ the sea and all it’s creatures/ the leaves in September/ the snowfall in December/ can’t help but be believers/ when you take a look around/ All that he made is beautiful VERSE II The mountains are majestic / the sea is vast and wide / Our eyes enjoy this miracle of life / To be free / to call / his name to worship and adore / In this life / I will shine / morning noon and night / BRIDGE Breathe it in / feel the sun shining on your skin / there will never be a day / when the sun forgets to rise / and that’s all because of him
  16. I wanted to post this song for crituqe, I was not sure if it was too repetitive or not. it sounds cool when I sing it to my self but would love to hear other thoughts. It's about praying for that special someone, and we you met them you feel like you know them already because it's what you prayed for. Before we were- By Amy Abernathy CC 2013 The first time I met you, I never saw you before. But I knew you were familiar, When you walked through the door. It’s no coincidence, that I met you, And God had made our prayers come true. Because…………… Before we were, you were there. Before I knew you, you were there. Not by body, but by prayer. So before we were, you were there. God knew what I needed, And planned it from the start. He knew the perfect one, To capture my heart. You were there, Before I knew you. You’re the one I prayed for. God knew us both And opened the door. It’s no coincidence, that I met you, And God had made our prayers come true. Because…………… Before we were, you were there. Before I knew you, you were there. Not by body, but by prayer. So before we were, you were there. You were there. You were there, You’re the answer to my prayers. Before we were, you were there. Yes he knew me, He knew me well. You’re the answer To my prayers. Before I knew you, you were there. Written By Amy Abernathy CC 2013 to Amy Abernathy
  17. ames1212 inspired me to write this. 80's rock, anthem style of music was the inspiration for the melody I wrote it to. Suggestions, comments, and critiques always appreciated. (Intro) My Lord, my loving God on your earth, I live and trod I am, but passing dust so in you, I put my trust (Vs) I'm the nothing, that is counting on you insignificant, is what it comes down to Without you, I am lost without hope; one of the drowning, pleading for rope (Ch) Save me I'm not worthy, but please Save me I am down on my knees Save me in the name of the Son Save me I am coming undone Save me (Vs) Loving Father, forgive my sin help me escape the world I'm in A fallen angel, is on my heels don't want to be another, soul that he steals (Ch) Save me I'm not worthy, but please Save me I am down on my knees Save me in the name of the Son Save me I am coming undone Save me (End Ch) Save me I believe in His name Save me Through Jesus I claim Save me that He died for my sins Save me I am forgiven of Him Save me Lord only you can save me Save me © L. James tanner
  18. I don't write much gospel but as Christmas approaches, I decided to write something for the occasion (More for Easter though). I had to pay homage, especially for my dear departed mother who liked me to write such lyrics for her. (Vs) With a crown of thorns hanging on a cross, he bore their sins with open arms, even as they laughed and cursed his name. He came into this world to save the lost, knowing that he would suffer harm; fully aware he would die alone in pain. (Ch) The Truth bled, the Truth died, the Truth rose and is by my side. The Truth lives and forgives; resides wherever true faith is; so help me God, I speak the Truth. (Vs) He pitied those looking up at him and in his love he forsook wrath asking God to forgive what they have done. Could have sought destruction for their sin but chose compassion on their behalf so in his death their lost souls could be won (Ch) The Truth bled, the Truth died, the Truth rose and is by my side. The Truth lives and forgives; resides wherever true faith is; so help me God, I speak the Truth. (Bridge) It's Jesus, It's Jesus The way, the truth, the light It's Jesus, It's Jesus In death he brought us life Triumphant he has risen in glory will return again It's Jesus, It's Jesus The true savior of all men (Ch) The Truth bled, the Truth died, the Truth rose and is by my side. The Truth lives and forgives; resides wherever true faith is; so help me God, I speak the Truth. © L. James Tanner

  20. Here is a track I have been working on for the past month. Please listen and share!!!! Thanks, Nicole
  21. I know I'm no studio quality producer, Its a difficult thing to learn when you get down the the nitty gritty of frequency real-estate, BUT regardless of my tallents in production, I'd like to get some feed back on this track. I have a problem with a lot of christian music, and it is the songs that say repeat the world "holy" for eight measures, conveniently giving the song an over emotional build up, that convolutes the message with pulp that is nigh meaningless. There are a few artists that I really enjoy as far as christian music goes, so I'm not only negative. But that is my own issue. I am working on this project; Sapling, and want to produce an album that has solid christian content that isn't cookie cutter christian music. This is my first track I made, and the question I have is this: http://soundcloud.com/saplingsound/childlike-faith Does the music after the opening lyrics cover the emotions and feelings that could be conveyed with lyrics? While this song is written for me, I would like for the content to transpose ownership, and be able to be applied to anyone else who is going through/ thinking about the general theme, which is "trust and obey". Hopefully I didn't give too much information, but It's hard to critic something if you don't understand what the creator is shooting for.
  22. I'm out of here...Thanks Tunesmithth.......................
  23. Hi, I did a vocal version of my song "Love One Another John 1" here; I like to sing but recognize that I'm not a vocalist: Love One Another - John 1 With Vocals: I would enjoy hearing it sung well. You can find the instrumental version here: Love One Another - John 1 Instrumental which is downloadable (mp3). and you can find a lead sheet pdf here. Please let me know if you are willing to do a version of the song, and if you need anything else. Please post a link or digital file of just your vocal track from time 0.
