Very happy to be here! Thank you, Songstuff.com ))) I am a physically disabled artist, living in projects. I spend my, last pennies to make music... Some of the tracks are produced and mastered, without using hands. As far as anyone knows, I'm the only person to do this. I am on a lookout for a person to help me promote my music. Since I am homebound, it is extremely difficult for me to get to a potential listener.

Jerusalem is a British national song based on a poem by William Blake printed in 1808. At the heart of the poem is the contrast between the harmonious, peaceful society Blake aspired to and the crushing reality of the rapid industrial transformation of his natural world. Blake was a radical poet and artist who lived most of his life in poverty and obscurity. Like most Romantics, he wrote and poems that celebrated energy, imagination and freedom, but what separated him from the rest were his incredible artistic abilities that allowed him to illustrate his writings. Hi, I’m new here and was wondering if anyone here would be interested in viewing a YouTube video of me improvising on the piano. This is an old instrument from 1901 that has been holding me back a bit but upgrading this weekend to a Yamaha U1! I’m only hoping to make more professional videos as time goes on. Thanks!

I tried "remixing" the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4. I thought it'd be an interesting challenge, and boy, it was. It's like 60-80% done. http://vocaroo.com/i/s0fxdPJseOtP Apologies for a noticeable gap of silence somewhere in the middle - I don't know what happened there. Also, I struggled with trying to warp the tempo of original orchestral recording to fit with the 135bpm this is, with varying levels of success. Pardon me here, again. Finally, the ending is quite bad. This was the part I was working on, before I decided to take a listen from the beginning. The piano/drums part in the middle didn't quite fit. It felt like it needed more orchestral music to wind up to it. I thought I was nearly done - just wrap up the end, and shove it into a cardboard box with flaps, and ta-da! After maybe a month of work, and struggling with Ableton, I was utterly sick of this thing, and was relieved to be close to calling it done. But then I heard how badly that middle part stuck out, and thought to get some second opinions. Is this worth still working on and bringing to completion, or can I put it aside, and try new things with no great loss? Any and all comments welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hello all! Let me introduce myself! My name is Cody Weinmann and I am songwriter who is finishing up studies in music composition and technology at California State University, San Bernardino. I've been writing semi-classical pieces and folk and pop songs since 1999. I have an extensive knowledge of music theory, and know part of my way around a Digidesign Pro Tools recording application. I just released my first single "Every Dawning Day" through Indaba Music. If you would like to check it out, go to my page at http://indaba.me/codyweinmann. So far, I have written over 1300 songs over the last ten years, most of which I'm still in the process of recording and putting out. One of my big strengths as can be seen in my profile on here is that I have a passion for creating intense and drawing orchestrations and compositions. I love the classical music of Eric Whitacre. I also love a variety of pop music influences from Simon and Garfunkel to Coldplay and the Killers. Another one of my strengths is in lyrics. I can usually write very catchy lyrics for one song and very deep ones for another. I also have a knack for coming up with great titles. At least, this is what I'm told by others. Currently, I am so excited about creating my first, full-length album to be released in June. I haven't thought of any nifty titles yet but the title will come in time. This album will attempt to showcase my versatility with rock, ballads, inspirationals, pop, techno and other styles all on the same album. I'll be sure to update you on how it all turns out! I also would love to work in a studio even though I don't have much experience, aside from working in the Cal State Studios. I do much of my creative work alone, but I am welcoming to anyone who wants to work with me on any project. So don't be shy! I am always available to talk with fellow musicians about all things music. Take care and I hope to find great fortune in meeting you all here on Songstuff! Cody Weinmann
