  1. Electronic tune with '80s bits

Hi all. I've been working on a new song. I've tried to take some '80s style stuff and put into a modern electronic production. It's missing a verse and the structure of the song isn't final yet. I also want to redo the lyrics for the first verse. I would like feedback on the production, mainly. Also, this tune, to me, has a certain late night, dark city vibe to it, but with some uplifting elements. At least, that's what I've tried to create with the production. Let me know if this works. Thanks! https://soundcloud.com/will-sketches/should-have-been-my-baby/s-u9Qgm
  2. Hi community, I want to share with you this track I conjured last night. I'm working with Abletone and Launchpad (Novation Mini) so the argument is being set live. I like the idea of creating a live show but I find it confusing and hard to set it up first. Do you have any suggestions on how to "structure" a live track? how do you decide the arrangements before? Thanks!
  3. Big and Bloody

Download in MP3 and FLAC: Big & Bloody Uprising Edition MP3 available for syncing in OneDrive. FLAC is supported for download by Download Managers via MediaFire. (c) Creative Commons 2016 This is my first published work...let me know how it goes. I personally checked out bandwidth support of various File Hosting sites and MediaFire’s to be the best one. It’s absolutely platform neutral and downloads are smooth even with a very slow connection. However the space provided by default is quite limited. [Removed] Thanks in advance! A great contribution would be a lifetime FL Studio key, an Adobe Premier Pro key or a lifetime Logic Pro key. These are mere yet essential contributions that you can make to encourage me in producing better music. To contribute, e-mail to debmaj2in@gmail.com with subject “Contribution”. All contributions will be acknowledged over various DJ DebMaj2’s web and social pages and will be highlighted in any future video or interveiws. If you want to contribute without spending a buck, do spread this shortlink: Big & Bloody (Uprising Edition) Download Page (http://bit.ly/babdm2spd) on social media and messaging services.

    Seeking mixing feedback, thank you!
  8. Here is the final version of "Dancing Down the Rabbit Hole" (former names "Down the Rabbit Hole" and "The Spiral" for earlier renders). @HoboSage I completely redid the drums. Of course I had to do some weird shit to them, but hey, a guy has to have his fun.
  9. Royale (work in progress

Hi all - decided to have a muck about tonight and used loops, which I don't normally use, for the drums, bass and guitar. The rest is played by little old me. Looking for any comments on this one, as I am not sure if it is going in the right direction, or if I have added too much to certain parts of it. Cheers https://soundcloud.com/moodman-1/royale-15022017-2321/s-LCgrL
  10. I think it came out kinda nice Tell me what you think. Any feedback is welcome! If you like it, check out the other songs on my channel. Utopia - Surf the clouds: Thanks for your time!
  11. The song is kind of chill and melodic, not anything like edm. What do you think about it? Any feedback is appreciated! Utopia - Surf the clouds: Thanks!
  12. Established & successful electronic producer here looking for lyricists to collaborate on forthcoming new album. Although I work in the world of electronic music I'm looking for lyricists of all styles; poignant, emotional lyrics with depth. I'm great melodically but struggle lyrically, have worked with some great artists over the past 20 years including Sarah Mclaghlan, Carla Werner, Clare Stagg, Roger D. Smith, IKO, Hurts etc. Based in Wales, UK.
  13. 16-year-old's pop/electronic song

Hi everyone, my name's AndreaCarlo and I'm an English aspiring singer-songwriter/producer. I just wanted to showcase you one song I wrote, sang and co-produced around 4 years ago, when I was 16 years old, called "At Times". I'm 20 right now, am about to finish my degree, and am looking to work in music after I graduate. Obviously this was just a start for me since I was very young and I've evolved in my sound/voice/style now. However, I was wondering if you guys could give me general feedback and tips on the production, the song/lyrics, my voice, etc... If I had to describe the song's style, I would say it's kind of an eclectic fusion of baroque-pop/trip hop/d'n'b/ambient. I don't know if you guys could be better at classifying it genre-wise than me. I would say that the sound is along the same lines as something Clean Bandit, Marina and the Diamonds, Lana del Rey, Florence + the Machine or Lykke Li would produce (i.e. indie baroque music mixed with electronic and urban beats). Vocally, I would compare myself to artists such as Adam Young from Owl City or the Pet Shop Boys. I've done other songs as well but this one is my personal favourite, as the others were just kind of projects I did for fun: Any feedback/critique is highly appreciated!
  14. Chemistry Of Calm

VERSE she gave me a reason to live perfect world as she's my love i can't decide with all my best efforts needle and spoon she is there in a burning hell and i will take her gentle hand once again CHORUS beautiful breathless kiss a sigh of sinful bliss it's all that I want che-mi-stry of calm VERSE for every day since one i love to the one i will hate step back in pain to be someone else a pinch of you to make a move ahead push it to the end i know you know how the taste of life is so perfect now CHORUS beautiful breathless kiss a sigh of sinful bliss it's all that I want che-mi-stry of calm ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not sure of my English too, so really any criticism is welcome. I would like to gain some skills and see my own mistakes.
  15. Fairytale's Gone

VERSE I turn another page in my head left all the questions unanswered let this story happened to the end I still stay here, when she is gone she's gone with all memories (i know) it’s a price I have to pay it’s a price for no regrets CHORUS only desperation prevail fairytale’s gone only inspiration remain fairytale’s gone my obsession is lost I know fairytale’s gone (she's gone) VERSE lived in a daze for all the time until the day i almost die love... how can i do this to her last case i hide inside my heart if we could start from the very first time look at me now... she's got me again tell me where's your loving god to give us a second chance CHORUS only desperation prevail fairytale’s gone only inspiration remain fairytale’s gone my obsession is lost I know fairytale’s gone (she's gone) OUTRO a fairytale is lost, i stay here with my thoughts she’s gone with all i ever could could recall it’s a price I have to pay to have no more regrets ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not sure of my English too, so really any criticism is welcome. I would like to gain some skills and see my own mistakes.
  16. Cross The Universe (work in progress)

Hi all - here is a little ditty I started late last night - I had the music done and then thought of some lyrics at 1.30 in the morning, so had to quickly sing a vocal melody so I didn't forget. Got a chance today to give it another go. It started out as a Depeche Mode type song (I was thinking of Enjoy The Silence after posting my instrumental yesterday with the same name). As you can see it's turned into something a bit different from The Mode!!! Before I continue with this one, I would appreciate any feedback... The vocals are as is, I haven't fixed them up or anything.... Cheers https://soundcloud.com/moodman-1/cross-the-universe-04022017-2016/s-8VrMD CROSS THE UNIVERSE (Words and Music by Richard Tracey) (verse) Even though we seem light years apart The distance doesn't seem to change my heart You're like a star a billion miles away A light that's getting closer every day (chorus) And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe The universe for you (verse) The emptiness of space is yearning My time on this rock it means nothing I'd move the earth for you if I could Bringing it closer to your neighbourhood (chorus) And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe The universe for you (bridge) I look up at the night A billion stars shining bright Which one are you..... I need to know Cause I am coming... I'm coming for you This is the right thing for me to do (chorus) And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you And I would cross the universe for you The universe for you
  17. Hey everyone, Been working on recording an EP for quite some time now to little avail so decided to finally get things into gear and tried doing it myself instead. I'm aware that some timing, phrasing, and pitching is a bit off, and production value is pretty low quality in general since it's just a quick do-up on my home equipment, nothing special (will probably just use it as a demo to get recorded better elsewhere), but would love any and all feedback, especially regarding the song! https://soundcloud.com/joshmaier/home-demo-1/s-lk3OE Thanks in advance, lemme know your thoughts and hope you enjoy! c: Lyrics: Verse 1 Should I walk through the door Into the streets outside Carve a way between the clouds Across the midnight sky We'll leave it all behind Forget about those summer nights When the sweat poured off our skin Before the dawn brought new life Verse 2 Staring out into black Wonder if we go back What could we become? Hearts pound in our chests All those little secrets We'll never lay to rest Chorus Tell yourself it's just a dream Holding on to simple things Til we find our way back home Cause time is always on the run Hand yourself a loaded gun Can you ever call this home? Bridge Saw that light crash against the wall Held your hand through it all As the impact hits my skin Heard your voice, through the room it called Out my name as we fall Through the howling of the wind Chorus Tell yourself it's just a dream Holding on to simple things Til we find our way back home Cause time is always on the run Hand yourself a loaded gun Can you ever call this home? [How could you ever call this home?] Tell yourself it's just a dream Holding on to simple things Til we find our way back home Cause time is always on the run Hand yourself a loaded gun Can you ever call this home?
  18. She Dreamed the Swans

Hi, A month ago, I posted a link to Verses Records Code Red compilation to benefit the ACLU in the lounge. I'm not sure if people knew which track was mine, since I've been going by "müesk" for the last year or so. At any rate, I've remastered the song (the version on the compilation was mastered by the label). I'm not interested in composition or development comments -- I spent nearly three months working on this. I am, however, interested in mixing or mastering comments because either / or both can still be modified.

  20. Hi guys, Here's another soundtrack I started yesterday: it's a short and fairly simple idea. I decided to call it, Dancing With You, because I thought it might work as BGM of a dance scene. I was going for an old-school + modern vibe, but I wanna know what it sounds like to you? Let me know what works or doesn't, Im open to any and all suggestions to make it sound better Thanks, Ken
