This is my recent rendition of Nancy Mulligan by Ed Sheeran. I study singing and i'm trying to improve my vocals. I had some feedbacks about my English and yes, i'm working on it: i want to improve my connection with the lyrics during the performance. I'm also a passionate filmmaker: what do you think about the video editing? Kind regards.

Hi, i just wanted to describe how I record my music at home. I'm a singer and I use ProTools First, free version from Avid, to record all music i make. My mic is a condenser Rode NT1A and i use as daw a scarlett focusrite i2 2ND generation. With this daw i plugin guitar and mic to record with protools first. Firs i decide the tempo with the click track, then i start doing some beats with guitar and the palm of my hand. In this way i can make a beat backtrack of the song that i'm doing. After, i add the guitar, or guitars, adding multiple tracks if i want. Only in the end i add vocals, after mixing the volume of the different instruments that i used. I'm an acoustic musician, so i don't use digital beats or effects. The secret, i think, is to make the right tempo for you. After that, the composition is very fast. And you? What do you record first in your cover? Do you use tempo or just record for a one take session?
