  1. I made music using the crying laughing emoji! 😂 This is my first attempt at creating a MIDI drawing that actually sounds good. It ended up being an epic orchestral piece with jazzy chords! What do you think? 👌🏼💯🔥
  2. I wrote this rap song back in 2016 dedicated and inspired by my son who had some rough experiences in the early stages of his life & had it produced last month. Now I know It’s only me myself and I I’ll stay solo No one else that I’ll rely From now on I know I’m gonna be alright Keep movin on I’m never gonna be defied I lost all my pride Things slipped through my hands Don’t have much to say Know I’ve blown my chance Once a dreamer Now I’ll pay the cost of wasting all of those days If I had my dirt bike still I would ride away, I would ride away, back to my hiding place Taking from others only robbed myself Of the goodness in my life & all the things I felt The things I did, I will not mention Not looking back and surrendering to the temptation Tripping, dealing and smoking I’ve been there and I’ve done that Sober, healing, hustling Currently where I’m at And I’ve been staring in the mirror with blood shot eyes I need help from three wise men…me, myself and I And my homies, my homies They gon end up in the sky Death is not up in my plans, I've got me, myself and I In the mirror is me I’m facing, In the mirror is me I’m facing Sometimes it’s hard to face him Sometimes it’s hard to face him Now I know It’s only me myself and I I’ll stay solo No one else that I’ll rely From now on I know I’m gonna be alright Keep movin on I’m never gonna be defied I left that night watching sister and mama cry To clear my head ask myself all the reasons why What made me do this? And what I’ve become? Only hurting myself, sister, daddy and mom A death trap just waiting in the wings I need to get out do bigger better things And to speak the truth no matter how it hurts Respect and loyalty is what they deserve I want the comforts of home To be where it’s quiet Not in the prison cell Finding myself in the center of a riot I wanna turn the key Have freedom and peace You can’t do that in the prison cell When you surrounded by all the police Been staring in the mirror with blood shot eyes I need help from three wise men…me, myself and I And my homies, my homies They gon end up in the sky Death is not up in my plans, I've got me, myself and I The devil hit me hard Yeah, he knocked me down But I got back up and I stood my ground Now I know It’s only me myself and I I’ll stay solo No one else that I’ll rely From now on I know I’m gonna be alright Keep movin on I’m never gonna be defied Now I know It’s only me myself and I I’ll stay solo No one else that I’ll rely From now on The devil won’t destroy me I know I’m gonna be alright Got me, myself & I Keep movin on No he won’t destroy me I’m never gonna be defied Got me, myself & I Keep movin on I will not destroy me I’m never gonna be defied I got me, myself & I Now I know It’s only me, myself & I
  3. 6x8

6 x 8 is a song I wrote about not learning from the first time about getting into trouble and drugs with deep regret wishing you had your life back. Freedom and peace. CHORUS: C’mon yeah, c’mon it’s like that, It’s like that No mirrors to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls that can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls I can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late With my head to my knees And the gavel they slamming down Before the man in the gown I knew what was going down I had my life back once But look how I took it for granted I had my freedom and peace But damn it for a moment I had it An addict addicted to trouble Dealing and smoking dope And now I’m only dealing with Noodles and a pack of smokes I had the comfort of home to pee where it’s quiet Now I’m pissing in the prison Surrounded by riots CHORUS: No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls that can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls that can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late I stayed hungry Every day they feeding you crap But beggars can not be choosers So I’m throwing it back In line to take a fast shower They only give you minutes At home I swear I used to take a half an hour Tighty whities man I don’t even wear these Boxers, designer belts and Pants hung to my knees Had the comforts at home freedom and peace But I’m in my 6x8 And don’t even know my release CHORUS: No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls I can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls I can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late Couldn’t stay away from trouble Or learn right from wrong Should of listened to the words Of another song I was young and stupid I spent some time in Juvie In the big house now Where I swore I would never would be Wishing I was at work And making all that bread And listening to the speakers Pumping in my head Ain’t no beats up here Some people rapping now Sometimes I hear them shout Get me the f*ck out CHORUS: No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls I can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late No mirror to look at in my 6x8 Surrounded by hard walls I can’t even break My knuckles, my knuckles They gone pay for mistakes I want my life back now But I know it’s too late
  4. Hi all.. inspired by HoboSage's recent video posts, I decided to try one for the latest song I am working on. It is made in Adobe Spark on the iPad. Hope you enjoy.... this is just a bit of fun.
  5. Hi Songstuff Community, I am a Toronto based producer, recording artist, studio owner, and videographer. I create my own audio and visuals as I market myself and those who I work with. This video was shot by an artists friend of mine and edited collaboratively. It captures a raw edge to a TranceHop Live Mix that I put together, blending aspects from SBTRKT, Tyler, The Creator, MGK, & Lil Wayne. I would love to get your feedback and comments on the overall video and audio of this track. This video was shot using: Sony A5000 Mirrorless Camera HD This video was edited using: iMovie FX were created using: After Effects If you enjoy the music and the video, please like, comment, share, & subscribe.
  6. It’s been many years since I started my music journey and finally now, I’m able to invest in some minimal equipment and put some music out to the best of my efforts. And I love it! DIY is a very essential approach to any musician or artist. It allows you to think creatively and forces you to learn skills that you would have probably overlooked if it was easily available. With that being said, here’s the beginning of something that I’m very excited about. More music. More stories. More love.
  7. Written one summer day in 2008 while the kids and I were having breakfast on the front porch. I decided it was time to start toying with it some and it turned out to be a video Valentine to the kids. As it has been on the back burner for some time, I'm sure it will be some time yet before I have a finished product. This is the first video I've ever done and just used the windows editor. The piano was looped after 8 bars, at least I think it's 8 bars, and I tried to sing a melody that changed with the verse, chorus and bridge on top of that loop. My struggle with music continues, yesterday I bought the Idiots guide to music theory. It's a snowy day, cold outside, melancholy music fit the mood. Hope you enjoy this. Posted are the original lyrics plus any edits I've done over the years. The song version edited them further but these are close to what I wrote that morning in real time. Saturday Morning Snapshot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCnKlfL5qew&feature=youtu.be Saturday Morning Snapshot Sitting on the front porch Eating breakfast Questions coming at me From a firing line Little minds can be so fun Noses smell and tiny feet run Saturday morning snapshot Of my life Singing babbling songs Of who knows what An elephant on his jammies Smacking my arm Talk about a daddy’s bliss I woke up with a kiss Saturday morning snapshot Of my life Yea this is life Time moves on The kids’ll grow I gotta’ stay strong Yea this is life It doesn’t come with a plan I’ll just hold the shutter open As long as I can She lifts up her shirt To show me her belly She turns and her little cheeks Are covered in jelly She smiles and giggles a bit My heart takes another hit Saturday morning snapshot Of my life Yea this is life Time moves on The kids’ll grow I gotta’ stay strong Yea this is life It doesn’t come with a plan I’ll just hold the shutter open As long as I can Why does life go by so fast Don’t blink ‘cause it doesn’t last Frame the moments behind some glass That's life Yea this is life Time moves on The kids’ll grow I gotta’ stay strong Yea this is life It doesn’t come with a plan I’ll just hold the shutter open Take a Saturday morning snapshot Of my life

  10. This song was posted here just recently and I couldn't pass up a chance to work on it right away. Fortunately McnaughtonPark agreed to let me play with it and this is the result: McnaughtonPark wrote the song, sang it and recorded the guitar. I added drums, bass, strings, flute and mixed it. (NOTE: slight update to the mix after comment #9, video added on April 25, 2015) https://youtu.be/X2FZPvQEnZw Audio only version available on my web site here: Orange And Bronze Colored Waltz - new full production The original version was posted here: Orange And Bronze Colored Waltz - original All comments are welcome. 11. Hi forum, I was wondering if there is a good place on songstuff (forum) to post a new video? My brother and I have been experimenting with making videos for my music as well as other artists. Any help would be great! Thanks, David

  15. A new video for Spaghetti Head https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZunFcEhN0Y#t=101
  16. Update: I took David's advice (*except for the strip club portion) and changed up the video. I think this one turned out great, but who knows? Thanks a lot to everyone, especially David for the ideas on this. Making videos is not fun…. Hello everyone, I wasn't really sure where to post this, as the video is still a work in progress. This is my first time making a video, and this is just a rough sketch of what I think the video could look like. The footage is all royalty-free stock video, except for the shots of me playing and singing. -Michael
  17. 8 months in the making with 80+ locations this thing felt like it would never be finished at points but here it is finally. Would love to hear any comments or feedback. Hope you enjoy :-) Also if you like the tune you can download for free, link in video description.
  18. Hello everyone I was thinkin maybe I should try to make a video of one of my songs:) I have an idea with combining my own art and some specific videoclips (if I can find something similar to what I want). I will try to avoid "steal" clips since it can violate Copyright issues etc.. So I wanna try find videoclips that I can use for a Video (that is allowed for commercial/promotion use.. ) Do anyone knows about such sites? or where is possible to find animations/video that I can use for my video? Thank you so much (sorry if this is the wrong place to ask)
  19. Hi! This is a video of a talent show I was in. I wrote this song called "Holding On Too Tight" and I performed it with just my guitar since that's all I really have! I ended up getting second place out of 21 (!!!!!!!!!) so I wanted some more feedback on how I performed and how I sounded and I guess the song in general! This was my very first time performing at all so I am definitely a beginner, but I really want hard honesty since I'm pretty sure my grandmother has to tell me I was great! Thank you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjUEycxvwhE&feature=youtu.be
  20. It's not high quality stuff, but it's not bad either. I just want to get my sound out there but I don't know what software or equipment to get. Basically what I do is play cello karaoke - I cover tacks with my melodies or interpretations of popular songs. Any advice is welcome! Here's an example that I recorded on my phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv9AIAvSa4Q&list=TLtFfW-ukIda4 Thanks! www.marybrandal.com www.youtube.com/mbcello90 www.facebook.com/maryrbrandalcello

  22. Hey guys, I'm an independent artist from Geneva, Switzerland and just wanted to share with you my debut single "Are You Ready?" and its video clip. This song is about being young and careless while we still can. It's good to let go even if it's just for a moment. Raise your glass, forget the past! Hope you like the music video and the song! I'm looking forward to making more!
  23. So these 4 hoties have a incredible night out. To bad they can remeber it only from the pictures. The song is a great clubbing tune, the video is sexy and i love the artist, she has so much potential. What do you guys think?
  24. Hi, this is my first contribution to the forum, its a song I (Madderfield) wrote and produced that kind of deals with the idea that it takes strength not to become as hard as your surroundings. I made the animation with a hulk reference to try visually drive this idea home. [media=]
