Guitar Ignorance

Recommended Posts

I picked up a Tanglewood TW400N about 15 years ago and it is one of the best playing/sounding acoustics that I've ever had.

The neck is the best bit about it, if I ever have the money to get someone to build a guitar for me, I would love this neck on an electric.

Stuff the snobs, a good guitar is one that is good for you and 90% of the time, the big names are s#@t!

I agree with the others. I think that is a great axe for a great price. Why are you looking for others in that range? Are you just trying to figure out what "class" it is in? Like others wrote, price and name often have little to do with the quality of the guitar, if you like it, then that's enough [smiley=acoustic.gif]

The first guitar I bought (a few years ago) was an Ibanez Acoustic Artwood Series AW30NT. It was just a simple starter guitar but every person that's played it or heard it and knows anything about guitars says it has a really beautiful tone for the price (it was about $220). I've since bought a Les Paul Gibson Studio from a friend and started dabbling in electric + pedal effects but still love to play the acoustic too. Blackbird by the Beatles just doesn't sound the same on the Gibby as it does on the acoustic.
