Hi D

Gotta say several of John Bonhams drum tracks  ;D

Other than that, I'd struggle. There are lots of great drummers, but few who seem to focus on catchy drum beats.

Probably the most recognisable, is the simplest:

Queen - we will rock you.

Cheers

John

To me...not that I am a huge fan but....

"Walk this way" by Aerosmith is easily recognized.

I will agree through that Toto's drummer does a good job and another is Rosanna.

mmmm...more ???

I Agree...Noel Redding's drumming was boarderline abnoxious.  But what do you expect from someone high on weed?  Did I say that?  Mercy I must be high on myself :(...and I suck...what a bad trip!!! Waaaaaa!  Maybe I just have the munchees!  YEEAAAHHH!!!

Maybe Stu Copelands job on `Walking on ther Moon'. Its also one of the few songs that has a drum solo instead of an instrumental break.

...and that one (dunno what its called) that comprises of nothing but a bass drum tapping out a pedestrian pulse (no rhythm) much favoured by boy racers.

I think Stu was a master of his art. All of the Police stuff is instantly recocniseable because of it. Roxane and Message in a Bottle were prime examples...

So.. what happened to him then?

Stewart Copeland now composes music for movie soundtracks and tv shows.  Years ago he even composed the theme song to the series "The Equalizer"

Just a little trivia there!

Hehe

Hey BS

That's the one! Great song. Old age makes me forgetful. Still it could be worse, I could be forgetful.

Cheers

Considering how much of an 'aquired taste' they seem to be. And with such an incredible percussionist, I'd put up 'Tom Sawyer' by RUSH. One of their most popular, and probably a beat Neil Peart could have actually devised while in a coma (compared to the rest of his stuff). ;)

PS Yes, Steve Porcaro (toto) absolute king of the shuffle, groove...
