just randomly, well yes, i got a really nice portable tripod, and my friend just lent me an aphex thermionics mic pre-amp for the next 2 weeks, so that does feel like a christmas present!

only problem is the little one keeps pressing the buttons and everytime i switch it on i have to peruse the mini-settings...
