Uncle Jack

(Verse 1)
Our Uncle Jack is a Cowboy
Riding all day on the range
The way he sits in the saddle
Is quite unbelievably strange

(Verse 2)
He lost both legs in a gunfight
And has a really bad cough
He's always needed a leg up
And a hand to get himself off

(Verse 3)
When Uncle Jack comes to dinner
He'll need lots of help of course
That's when you'll hear my Mama
Say “Help Uncle Jack, off his horse”

(Verse 4)
Uncle Jack loves riding his pony
But mounting up is always a trick
But he does it by listening to music
And the use of a very long stick

(Verse 5)
But when Uncle Jack comes to visit
We'll always help him of course
Ever since we've been able to lift him
We've helped Uncle Jack, off his horse

Very Nice.

"He's always needed a leg up. And a hand to get himself off"

Priceless!

Loved it! The only thing I wasn't too sure of was the repetition of Uncle Jack, but it might work just fine. Good to read a humorous piece for a change.

It does sound a bit music hall but who said it shouldn't? It's a fun read with some good lines. I did a cowboy themed one that mentions an 'uncle Jim'. Maybe they're related!
I don't know what i'm doing but i do it anyway
