what was the cost ??? so have to change the pickups and sounds like it has chatter on the frets also, not a bad looking guitar but for me, it's like downloading illegally , it takes away from the real people who make the real ones !! big issue with me !!!

Yes sir, its a bit illegal also non ethical, because i know that chinesse workers are working their a** off with minimum wages. I also know they tend suicide frequently.

With this point of view i feel little bit of regret.

But also i believe gibson guitars are overpriced, this experiment kind of proves it. If you want a real gibson, surely you should buy one, no question about it. But this is also a good guitar and if you want to learn about guitar maintenance, adjustments... etc. this is a very good option.

Yes, there is a fretbuzz but i do not think that its unsolvable problem. I just give this guitar to a decent luthier. But overall its very good guitar and very cheap.

Am I right in thinking that the guys making these copies sometimes commit suicide?

I've lived here for 15 years and haven't heard of 'that one'! By that one, I mean guitar makers.

Low wages is another misconception since it's all relative to living costs

What does an original Gibson as you've bought go for, out of interest?

Waiting on Viktor to say 'roughly' what the copy costs :)

265 usd guitar + 70 usd hardcase  includes shipping.

I did not paid any customs fee , because i was lucky, but usually they charge %20 of value.

Company valued 80 usd, so i made my way of of customs free :)

I ve had a original gibson flying V, but i ve sold it for balancing reasons. I was thinking to buy new LP, but after this guitar, i give up that idea.

This axe fairly satisfied my needs.

Suicidal workers are actually electronic products business. I ve heard they placed wire netting under the production buildings in order to prevent suicide attempts.

Wow, 10% of cost approx.

Yeh, I know which company you mean ref the suicides. Just don't like generalised statements that give people the totally wrong impression

A family in HK, their kid needed a toilet badly, the queue was too long to wait so the mother used a nappy to collect on a roadside. The international news reported it as Chinese Kids Use Street As Toilet - Again. Totally wrong!

Thx for the price info :)

so 400$ !!!1 lmao really ???? damn I got some I should try to find cheaper, and have one like that I paid $2,800 for , without a case , 3,100 with so right on mark with costs , damn , maybe I should get into guitar sales ??hhmm

but the issue here is same ol song , copyrights and such , being in music it kills me when I see illegal download sites and it comes out of the artists pockets, here well it is coming out of a large company but stealing is stealing, in NYC they just had a squad hit all the knock offs selling on every street corner , for the same reasons, I get torn on this issue , but in no way will it be stopped , so do you join in or keep paying for the RIGHT name and quality ??

That sounds nice Viktor

I couldn't quite understand what you said about 'covering the brand for copyright issues"? Is this another copy guitar?

It does look nice :)

A genuine Gibson worker would never be so committed to his work ethic.

Yea the Gibson Logo is certainly not right even on the case nor are the PU/s But, Jeezzzzz

for the price? I can't blame Ya.

BTW I absolutley LOVE Gary Moore (R.I.P.)

AND

As far as I know Epiphone/Gibson, Fender and a few others have guitar factories in China anyway.

I bought a tele copy (not a fake Fender) but a copy made by TrinityRiver made in China for

$80.00. After a few adjustments a bit of work here and there It plays and (what's more important)

Sounds Incredible. The PU's are Bad A$$.
