you me us we are

you me us bound together in love

lost in a thousand days fore told

laughter and tears a life’s compliment

willing the stars in the sky to guide

you me us we come together

here and now as it all shakes out

falling hard everything made crystal clear

our lives bound by future and past

you me us form made flesh feelings become art

you me us we come to the light

you me us destined by birth death infinity

black is white thru dark comes light

heaven’s on earth where we choose to be

far as the eye can see caught up in it all

you me us we come to the light

here and now as it all shakes out

falling hard everything made crystal clear

our lives bound by future and past

you me us form made flesh feelings become art

you me us we come to the light

you me us resting upon the alter

passion burns keeping us safe destiny calls

sharing in a future that has been spoken for

you me us together forever and always be

You me us we come to the light

here and now as it all shakes out

falling hard everything made crystal clear

our lives bound by future and past

you me us form made flesh feelings become art

Hi David

Thank you so much for one of the nicest comments/critiques that I have ever received on this or any website!...I really appreciate it, more then you will ever know!!.....I work so hard trying to write lyrics/poems and present them in a way to entertain, and or question, (I am always open to questions and interpretations of what I write), as a side note: for you and everyone else who reads this I take every comment/ critique to heart hoping it makes me strive to grow and be that much better a writer...so I thank you for being the first to offer a comment and giving my a post it's chance to stand on it's own merit!!...regards Mike

Hi Mike

Your title first caught my eye because I remembered David's  'Triptych Mirror'   :)

Great word isn't it?  A good inspiration for writing.

Very well written piece of work, Mike. It's one of those which really draws me in as I am reading.

Hey Mike,

I don't usually visit this board but I have seen a few posts here that really interested me.  Since I remembered you daid you were a published poet I had to take a look.

This is really stimulating.  I have always been fascinated with Pros, especially Asian poetry.

I guess what really strikes me in this poem is the connection to the ethereal world.  Space and time and our humble part played in the great scheme of things.  It both makes me feel extremely small and extremely powerful by just knowing every action the smallest being takes causes a reaction in the entire universe.

Great work Mike,

Bryan

Hi Jan

Thanks so much for your really nice comments, I really appreciate you stopping by and commenting...especially on a piece that I worked really hard to bring to life and one that I feel so passionate about....I did have to step in at a point and make people notice...so I am thankful you and others that I  hold in high regard have taken notice of this piece...so thank you!..Mike

Hey Bryan

Thanks so much for stopping by!!..and offering your comments...although I am a published poet I have not published anything in awhile...although I have been working on a chap book off and on but with my regular job it is hard to fit it all in...so I favor the websites and forums to keep honing my skills hoping that somebody will notice my writing whether the poems or the lyrics...I am still waiting, although this is a tough field to crack I find it immensely  rewarding when someone comments on what you have written...instant satisfaction!...and yes this poem is kind of my homage to my wife, our love, and art (in all it's forms)...and to our love that has no end...also I do love asian writing especially Haiku...which I have worked on from time to time...hard to do...but worth the effort! regards Mike

I know the feeling of the waiting and hoping.  I have had two manuscripts nearly finished for over 5 years now.  The one that was supposed to get published this year is now back in editing.  The publisher I thought was going to make it happen went out of business.  Just my luck.  So, I'm going the Self Publishing route.  I have about 1/4th of the final edit complete and probably looking at the first of next year now.

In the mean time these web sites do help keep my spirits up and who knows, they might lead to something being published here that will take off.

All the best,

Bryan

Hey Bryan

Ditto I agree, I tried the self publishing route as well but it was too expensive!!...yes these websites help to promote your work...so hopefully there is someone out there who has the power to make a change ( as the websites all claim) and he/she is reading what we post!!!!.and still we wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! regards Mike
