Hi! I'm A Beginner Singer Looking For Feedback :)

Hi!

I'm new to singing (I pretty much got into it six months ago when I started learning the guitar) and would love constructive criticism on how to improve my voice and technique from more experienced singers. Feel free to be mean if necessary, I'm aware that my singing is far from prefect and I have no real technical training.
I'm not looking to become a professional; I just love to sing for fun alone and with my friends and want to improve my voice.

you have a good voice but you just need to slow down with the delivery,consider the timing don't d extend the notes so far its far easier to sing bursts of vocal than extended notes.

Your chest voice is coming along nicely but you tend to fall flat if you go into head voice and then return to it. Also you get breathy which means you need to develop your breath control. Practice taking a large (as you can) breath and exhaling it slowly. Visualize blowing it through a straw (you can put a straw in your mouth literally to do this) Count as you (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi) exhale. Repeat a few times. Each day try to get your "count" number larger. Your voice is very nice when you are on

Vocal control takes awhile to achieve, just keep working at it!

 

I am a songwriter who constantly struggles with vocal control so I feel you. You have a nice voice quality which is just as important as pitch imho. Do you write originals, too, or just do covers?
