How would i go about putting together a little beat or something for backup to my guitar to figure out how a song would sound? Drums are to expensive and i live in a tiny town, no buddies with these instruments

Okay a few questions....

Is this purely for recording for song writing purposes, or do you want to record fuller Demi's, or even use the solution in a live environment?

What computing platforms do you have? (Including tablets)

Do you have a budget?

Mostly just to get a feel of what the whole sound should be like and a little recording. Budget would be very steep atm.

If you have a decent PC get some DAW software that you can use to run loops. Asking which one would open a huge kettle here. They are an easy way to get started and there are plenty of free ones available if you hunt around.

Search our forums here, there are countless discussions (arguments) about what software to use

Research DAW (digital Audio Workstation)

Research Free Drum loops (you can get huge sets of quality loops that work well together for not much money)
