My lyrics are always weird

Why do my lyrics always look incohesive

And have no rythm? Sucks that im not so good with words any advice

I think it really boils down to practice. Even the greats were not good at the beginning!  Staying active on sites like this and reading books on the subject can help. 

 

When I feel discouraged, I pick up my ukulele or go to the piano - just playing for the sake of playing seems to renew my motivation as a writer. It reminds me why I want to be able to create lyrics.

With 1 post, you wont have posted up any lyrics. Lets have a look at your words.

 

People here are encouraging & I like weird lyrics anyway.

Hi

 

You say your lyrics have no rhythm.  Do you write them down whilst listening to music? 

 

I often write poetry without any particular rhythm but if I write anything which I consider potentially to be lyrics - I write them listening to music - even if this is not the music which will be used eventually.
