Zevon - I hope he makes it

I miss 'ol Zevon. There's a lot of musicians and a lot to factor in, but I hope he gets in.

I liked Warren, but couldn't describe myself as a fan. Good link, I learned a thing or two.

You know, I was always luke warm with Zevon until I bought his last CD The Wind. It changed my whole perspective on him and I started liking his older stuff more and more.

I'm in the same boat with Rudi,   The only song that really struck me was "Money Guns and Lawyers"

Was a Zevon fan even before Werewolves of London.  Loved Mohammed's Radio and pretty much everything thereafter.  The guy was a genius.  Plus, anyone when asked, after being stricken with cancer about life's lessons, who can come up with

 

"Enjoy every sandwich"

 

is tops with me.

Yeah, that's a good quote. I do wish I would have started liking him earlier. I think he was just a little bit too before my time for me back then. I was all about Van Halen and the Sex Pistols and a lot of classic rock felt "old" to me. Sadly, I missed ever seeing him in concert because of it.
