Scratchy Need
ONE
Had enough to meet you halfway,
So I took that trip just yesterday.
Now as our promise of today, wanders away.
Our tattered ties.
They make you cry.
Our battered lies.
They shred my eyes.
We're falling deeper in that hole.
There's no heat against our cold.
We've fallen deeper in this hole.
It's so much darker in our soul.
CHORUS
In our hottest days,
within our deepest sweats.
We're a tourtured soul,
fuelled by regrets.
We're a scratchy need,
we love to bleed.
So come scratch our need and watch us bleed.
This game we play, keeps God away.
This price we pay.
It scared God away.

TWO
Such an (This) oozing need.
It creeps, it crawls,
deep inside our cellular walls.
We're a battered dream.
Such a sad conclusion.
We're a shattered mirror,dripping cracked illusions.
As the warmth of our day, burns away.
Our clock on the wall struggles to recall.
And now our popcorns gone.
It's time to move on.

BRIDGE
I feel her lips as they kiss my head.
Misery love company, she whispered so sad.
As we lay our ghost to bed,
I feel her lips graze my head.
As warm blood stains our ice cold bed.
Misery loves company is all she said.
THREE
I walked halfway,
I didn't see you today.
Our battered ties, still crave tattered lies.
Our promise of today?
It left yesterday.
We're so lost within this hole,
with nothing in our souls.
This scratchy need.It lives to bleed.
Come scratch our need.
We'll make you bleed.
