Now or never

Hi, a distinctly 80's ballad..if you take a listen, I thank you..

Hey, can't you see, it's the only way it should be,
though your love is gone, you linger on,
in my window of extasy..
fade, into blue, when I thought my love would breakthrough,
did I misconstrue, when I fell for you,
It was the only thing I could do,

Don't let me go, love me forever,
don't ever, set me free.
you've captured my soul,
it's now or never, don't ever,
let me be..

clouds fill my eyes,
when I think of your last goodbyes,
as you walked away, left me castaway,
I could only, wonder why,
Hold on to you,
is the only thing I wanna do,
If you turn away,
after leading me astray,
then You've hit me, right out of the blue,

Don't let me go, love me forever,
don't ever, set me free.
you've captured my soul,
it's now or never, don't ever,
let me be..

take a moment and think awhile,
let me hold you again,
I'll remember the way you smile,
in the faces of all my friends,

Guitar solo

Don't let me go, love me forever,
don't ever, set me free.
you've captured my soul,
it's now or never, don't ever,
let me be..©KNmac

best to all fellow muso's..

This sounds more retro in a 70s sense than 80s to me.

That being said, it's well done.

Are the guitars from sample libraries? They don't sound 'real' if that makes any sense.

The vocals are excellent.

Cool retro ballad.

Peace,

TC

Shadow - now this is definitely an eighties ballad. Don't know how you manage to find those sounds!!!

It is well recorded and the guitar and piano sound great. It has an almost European 80's feel to it.

It wouldn't sound out of place in an 80's movie.

Good job.

Shadowfax,

I feel a lot of emotion in this song, man. You sing like a pro and the arrangement/production is perfection, to me!

The vocal melody reminds me of ballads from the 70's(I think) but the production quality is so crisp that it could be coming out of a 'Micheal Learns To Rock' album.

Great song, man. And I know the re-organization here in the forums is a little confusing, right now, but I hope you keep posting more of your work here.

Very entertaining stuff, :ilovemusic:

What a nice tune! I like how the melody is intriguing enough to keep one listening, but at the same time, the melody doesn't stick right away, so I am compelled to listen to it more than once so that I can learn it and sing along. I think it's a combination of the production and instrumentation that is so pleasant, which means it would probably take a long time to get tired of this song. It draws the listener in to want to want to hear more. Kind of reminds me of John Denver.

WOW, Kevin! this has got that epic ballad vibe to it. The vocals are superb, as is the production! The instrumentation is amazing! I too, will listen to this one often [smiley=hippy.gif]

Nice Kevin....yeah I have to say it really does have an '80's vibe....everything in it seems spot on. there is a brief empty spot in percussion at approximately 2:33 where it seems the change-up on the beat has a hiccup.  My ear's not the best for that so it may be nothing.  Lyrics are great and it's another solid performance on your part.  Well done my friend.

Sounds really good. Nice ballad. It's sounds 70's for sure and with a little more synth bed it would be 80's all the way! (solo sounds pretty 80's to me)

Nice work!
