1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? Yes What instruments? Guitar, Drums, Bass, Cello and I dabble in Piano and Singing When did you start playing? Various times obviously, but I've been playing guitar for about 6 years and drums for about 4 years Did you teach yourself? Guitar no, Drums yes, Bass no (but guitar taught me most of it), Cello no, Piano yes 2. Are you in a band or bands? Yes What is the name of the band? We don't have a name yet What do you play? Drums What other instruments are in the band? A guitarist and a bassist, we are currently looking for a singer Do you have a band website? No 3. Do you write songs? Yes Do you write lyrics, music or both? I write mostly lyrics because I'm not as good at writing songs on guitar, but I do improvise out songs on drums cause that's easy. So both. Do you have a writing partner? Not for my lyrics, I write those alone. My partner for the music writing would be my guitarist, but he writes the majority of the stuff, I just add thoughts and some new ideas. 4. Do you record your music? Not really Do you use a home studio? If so what gear do you use? I tried using Logic Pro to record guitar a few times but it didn't turn out the best Do you use a recording studio? Publishing? Promotion? Other? 6. Are you a tech head? I can figure things out for the most part, but no I'm not really a tech head 7. What country do you live in? Canada 8. What are your ambitions? Getting much better at the instruments I play, to the point where I can be recognized as better than your average musician. The touring/recording band life, it's ridiculous but I will try my hardest to get there 9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? I draw/paint because I'm good at it, though not too much because I don't have enough passion to put it that much effort that often. Though I do draw pen designs/logos a lot. I also do some computer art on Adobe Illustrator. What are your pastimes? Playing music (mostly drums), some video games 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? Advice on my lyrics because I feel like I could definitely use tips on how to make my stuff more interesting and different, and just overall more professional
