  1. I LOVE Children Of The Grave and sometime I do want to learn Heaven And Hell. However, We Rock is not up there on my list, if I were to do another Dio it would probably be Strait Through The Heart, The Last In Line, or maybe even Stargazer.
  2. Thanks man! I know it was a pretty ambitious song to take on especially on acoustic, but that's what I'm aiming for! I'm planning to take on Black Sabbath's Iron Man next and later Dio's Holy Diver, which are both pretty big to take on as well. And I've been coughing heavily for over a week now and it sucks! It didn't affect my singing or guitar playing greatly though.
  3. Thanks man! And I understand, we all have our music preferences. And I'm glad you appreciate the caution tape. I got it from just taking it from places over the years. Of course I made sure no one was going to die if I took it (I got most of it at cross country meets after races).
  4. I LOVE this song! And Iron Maiden. I'm surprised I'm still able to sing actually, I've been coughing my head off for the past 5 days... Couldn't wait any longer to record and upload though! Tell me what you think!
  5. I was at Sam Ash today looking at some guitars and I finally realized how different necks of guitars can be. I kept all this in mind today and I couldn't find an electric I really liked. But I did get to play a $3000+ Gibson just for fun. I liked it cause it had a small neck which fit me well. The crazy thing was it tuned itself which was really weird! And if you ever want to get a guitar that tunes itself, keep in mind it is a pain to bring it to bring to different tuning. Took me a solid 30 minutes with help from a store member to get it to go to drop D. And I was never able to get it back to standard tuning. Oops. I do have some other guitar stores around me to I can try though. I did find an acoustic I really liked though. I believe it was a Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat. It felt really nice to play, better than the acoustic I have now, much different sound though. I'm really thinking of getting that one. The only thing I don't like about it is doesn't have a cutaway.
  6. Haha no offense taken. And actually I'll be playing for 3 years soon though! However, I feel like all the girls my age that play guitar have fancy Taylor and Gibson acoustics that are worth thousands while I'm playing a much cheaper Yamaha. It holds its tune well and I put nice strings on it and I personally think it sounds great. I can't imagine the struggle you guys had to face suffering playing the guitar when you guys first learned! I thought my Yamaha got bad sometimes. I love that Yamaha, but it chews up my fingers when I play lots of power and bar chords after awhile.
  7. Thanks! Here are a few I found that I liked (Apparently someone threw out the magazine I had so I had to go online) so tell me what you think! I kinda rushed to find them but I found a few I originally had at least... But if you don't mind look at a few and tell me what you think (These links are for my reference too haha). 8. Thanks guys for the suggestions! I would love not to need a new guitar, but I'm looking for a new guitar because I only have 1 electric guitar and it was my first guitar so it is very basic (And it broke a bit in a place or 2, but none were my fault!). Plus, my little cousin stole it... So right now I have none (Except my acoustic). I'm looking for something I can do more on with more buttons and what not (Like whammy bars). However, I will make sure I don't get too carried away with buying lots of guitars! I definitely think I should get a new amp too though, thanks for that suggestion! My current one is pretty wimpy haha. That will definitely help! And I think I should go to a store now just to make sure it feels right. I wanted to buy online because it was cheaper, and all the music stores around me are really expensive! I went through this music catalog for a store near me and I might ask for some suggestions about some of the guitars I picked out later too.
  9. Hello! So I am looking for a new electric guitar but I have no idea what to get! So I would like to get some advice from some experts before I get one. Right now I have a cheaper Fender that I got for my 15th birthday when I first started playing guitar, so it's not that nice! But now that I know I'm going to keep playing, so I'd like move onto something much nicer so I can do more things. I'm not too incredibly specific, however it needs to sound nice! I'd also prefer it to have a cool design (And be unique) as well. I mainly play rock and metal, so nothing "girly" or for another genre. Also nothing super heavy either (Weight wise) if possible! So I want a guitar that is nice, but not something that is thousands of dollars! As well as paying for it myself, I'm hoping my parent's can combine my Christmas and Birthday present, which probably leaves me a top of $1,200 (Depending how much I want to work...). I am probably going to buy online because it would be cheaper as well. Thank you!
  10. That's good to hear Mike! It was helpful, I'm still referring to it! Yeah, I need to work on starting out slow, I just like to dive into things, jump right in on the deep end because that's just how my personality is. That is a great wake up call though! I need to get out and play with other people again. And perform. I've played with 2 other people who played guitar before and it was a huge help and eye opener each time. We taught each other songs and tricks which really have helped me build up to the mediocre guitarist I am today. Too bad I don't know many people that play. Maybe when I get to college next year. And how can you get Guitar Pro? More importantly what is it? However, I have been doing something right, I've been recording myself play for a bit for my Youtube channel and for when I recorded a whole bunch of originals just for safekeeping, which I'm actually going to go back and listen to since I haven't listened to them for a long time and compare myself to how I played a year or 2 ago.
  11. Don't be sorry. It's always good to make the song your own. Change the arrangement and melodies around to make it fit your interpretation of the song how you connect to the song.
  12. I agree it does have a genuine real feel to it. That's what all great music needs to have. A sense of realness.
  13. A also agree. I did not expect to get such well thought out and in depth responses, thank you. But that deserves to be more than just a comment on some random page.
  14. That's kind of what I'm thinking, other than, my friends never played guitar. I feel like I can play rhythm, but I've gotten more interested in playing solos and such recently. My AP Stat teacher this year plays guitar (Other than he likes folk and I like harder rock), he has a guitar in his room the one time I went in there. Maybe I can learn a bit from him and see what being taught is at least like.
