About Me

Musically

I'm a singer, songwriter, and producer with 40 years of playing experience.

After playing in bands for years as the main singer songwriter i've been more focused on writing and production for the last few years. The last time i played live was in 2000. It was broadcast on radio scotland as part of the 10th birtday celebration for the cathouse nightclub in glasgow.

My main bands were beyond the edge in the 80s and then needful things in the 90s.

After years of playing other bands it's refreshing but a bit scary to finally be solo. That said i've a great bunch of supportive musical friends who always help out with recordings.

Technically

I trained in a recording studio as sound engineer not long after I left school. Later I went to unversity and now have a BEng (hons) in Electronics and Music.

I've also many years experience writing software including object oriented design, C++, C, php, javascript, assembly language among the main highlights.

Art

I love painting and pastels, and creating artwork using my computer. That said I don't get much time anymore.

Hey John... I noticed a small glitch on this site. I tried to comment on one of roflcopter's pics and it said it was submitted. I checked back later on it and it said "zero" comments.
I'm not sure if this problem has been encountered before but for some reason it didn't go through.
