[Songwriting Book?]

Thanks Tunesmithth! John - That would help out a lot! Been scouring the web for books though - I did stumble upon a book by Molly Leikin called "How to Write a Hit Song" it seems like it grasps the core of what I'm going for from top to bottom, and it's well reviewed on Amazon. Think I'm going to go for it, got nothing to lose! Just need something while I travel to keep my gears turning. Looking forward to other posts!

Hey everyone!

I'm a noob to the music industry, and am learning to be a songwriter. Can anyone recommend any books that would make for a great read that would give me everything I might need to know in one place? I'm going to do my own research as well - maybe we'll find some great stuff and help each other out!

Great to "meet" you all! I'm new to this whole forum and site AND songwriting! I know I can scour the web for days looking up tips and techniques for lyric and songwriting - but I was wondering if you all have any great books that I'd be able to pick up that covers essentially everything?
