Your music and your content (e.g guides, how to's, etc.) How do you grow your web presence? Create relationships. Answer inquiries, questions, and feedbacks. This is the only way to keep yourself in touch with your audience.

For lyrics I often use pen and paper since it is more easy to write ideas instantly and you don't need to type. Yes it is old school but this is the most effective way on composing lyrics on my part

I think the best way to promote your music on Facebook is through giveaways. People love things that are free or offer something in return for their like. Anyway that's the best way to promote something unless you can do viral ways to promote.
