Also, if you could give me links to some studios (so I know what possibly to look for), that would help.
-
"Demo studios" huh?
The only issue is, I have no money to give anyone right now, never mind a studio!
-
Yes, hence my earlier statement copy/pasted in below.
"You need to try and hook up with a songwriter/collaborator. Lyrics are simply a part of total equation"
Still not certain you picked up on the intent of my last post Don. My point was....if all you have is lyrics, you're wasting your time trying to hook up with "a producer". What are they going to do with just a lyric? If you did find someone willing to work with just a lyric, they're going to want MONEY and it'll lead nowhere. They'll simply take whatever money you have to spend and that will be that. The industry's full of folks who operate like that.
Good luck with your quest!
But what is there to do with the collaborator? What could I do with them that I can't do with a producer?

To the post above Tom's:
I didn't realise that. I do have a very limited budget to work with and I have been telling all producers that.
-
Tom--You mean a collaborator?
-
Thanks for the helpful words. I'm just a songwriter, and just wanted to ask if all producers charge to work with them.
-
One question:
Do all producers work on a budget? Do all producers charge money? Because I have no money to give.
-
Awww that's okay Tom. But thanks

Hi...
I'm Donald, from the US. I'm a songwriter looking for some producers and vocalists to turn my tracks into singles....
But before all that happens, I'm just hoping to network with people who may know some producers. I've tried talking to some on Twitter, and there are 3 who say they want to help me. But they never respond back to me.
What should I do?

@MonoStone I completely agree with everything you said. I did imagine the flow of it when I wrote it.
And yes, genre does make a huge difference.
Also, I recorded my rap on iPhone Voice Memo, and showed it to a friend. He said to me "It's not bad, you just sound inexperienced".
