  1. They make great plugins. Other picks: ML Sound LAB, S-Gear, and TH-U.
  2. Who knows maybe AI may come up with better stuff than these Auto Tune junk bands.
  3. Amazing video
  4. Izotope products work well as VSTs, but for some reason VST3 versions of their plugins tend to be buggy (more or less). The last plugin I checked was the Iris 2 (now discontinued) and the VST3 version of this plugin would crash plugin hosts.
  5. I use it almost exclusively for my hobby purposes. I do have a couple of recordings with it - it can record dry or wet sound, but that's just an amateur work (i.e. to record love songs for my wife ). Although I use it in a very basic way, Gig Performer is used by FoH engineers for mixing and recording. There is this show Backstage with Gig Performer where many artists were interviewed, for example Tom Jones' FoH engineer Matteo Cifelli.
  6. I tried to use Cubase LE once, but I didn't dig the workflow. As a hobby guitarist, I really didn't need all the features DAWs provide you with. At that time I used Digitech RP200 and other pedals and then switched to a computer setup using standalone applications such as Amplitube and Guitar Rig. But when I discovered Gig Performer, that immediately clicked with me, because I could connect plugins using virtual wires, no sends, etc. It was extremely easy to experiment with the sound, play along backing tracks, and record what I played (just to see where my mistakes are). I don't even need to use a MIDI controller, simply program markers and actions in the Timeline and sounds automatically change as I play (clean, distorted, lead, ...). I like it because it is idiot-proof.
  7. I don't use channel strips in a DAW, it's not intuitive for me. In Gig Performer, you simply connect plugin blocks, just like a guitarist that use hardware pedals would connect them. And you can connect anything to anything.
  8. I tend to combine VSTs. For example, S-Gear didn't have a Wah pedal (and for a long time), so I used another VST for that purpose. I also tend to use custom reverbs (Outer Space), combine VSTs in parallel, add limiters, etc.
  9. My brain needs something heavy and fast. Don't know why I like it.
  10. Well, he plays normal drum lines and fills in his commercial music The Youtube stuff is just for showing off. He is talented (needles to say).
  11. He said - I don't care what YOU think! It would be better to say Share your thoughts in the comments, I care to hear your opinion.
  12. I'm interested in anything VST (plugins, hosts, ...), cool MIDI controllers, and optimizing computers for audio.
  13. A great drummer. My only remark to him was his "I don't care" attitude. If you don't care, then why I would care?
  14. I wanted to fill in the survey, but I see it's no longer active.
  15. I agree with this, unfortunately. Your success depend on a quality video, your image, marketing efforts and finally - music.
