  1. Hi, I have a queary about busking licenses How and where do you get them? How much do they cost? Do they have an age limit? But I wasn't sure at all where to put this queary so I was wondering if anyone could tell me which section of the forum this belongs to? Thanx sorry to be a bother! xhoon
  2. The boy who ate the world Blessed was the day of the second week of June When little Timmy shot out armed with a harpoon It’s a nightmare of a battle in that satan cursed womb Gametes of all sizes trying to put me in a tomb Little Timmy grew so quick noone hardly saw His battle wounds were to remain and left him wanting more With hesitance his poor parents were looking round for schools But none it seemed was all that keen to go against the rule I’m sorry sir and madam but it’s simply not allowed A boy of that rough nature will surely clear us out A knife from Westside Story or a bomb from Vietnam Nonetheless we do obsess this violence be banned But thank the lord! For one headmaster bent the rules a tad And with a cheque, a night in bed, their son a school he had Now be good Tim and don’t you sin for Lord will smite your head Oh will he now, well let him know I’ve had his wife in bed First day came and Miss Mcgee asked the class a question As they do the eager hands shot up in all directions Timmy in an awful fright picked up his metal boot And smacked Mcgee right in her face for rousing this salute I have come I have seen but I will never conquer A place this cruel with Communist rule why I wouldn’t bother I hear this Lord packs quite a punch but he is not your worry That wife of his is a bitch to please and will bang you in a hurry Out he stormed through the gates only to be greeted By sirens from a blue red car in which he was soon seated Now readers don’t you fear this child for he is safely caged And let this be a lesson for those of you feeling raged.
  3. I have so much to say to you If only you were asleep For I am not as gentle as The voices in your dream I try to fit the mould of love We see on TV screens Convince myself that written love Is what I really need But when I shed all the layers Of my true desire I realise that the risks I take may only get higher So here I clear all worries now For that feeling of being in love And smile with only one thought in mind Being with you is enough This doesn't really have a title because I wrote it off the top of my head. It's basically just about being in love with a girl, and instead of aching to be loved back and worrying about what might happen, simply sitting back and realising if you really love the person, being with them is enough.
  4. Lol it's hilarious! Love it!xxxx keep it up
  5. anyone notice the frog has a.. well.. tool? between its legs? its blurred out but.. why put it in the first place:S:S very disturbing.
  6. Nah its not that people like it. They did a poll on radio 1 i think, and most the ppl hate that stupid bloomin frog. It's always like this though, silly annoying tunes always get higher ranks on Single Sales because more people buy the singles, cause that's the only good thing that the artist's made, while with successful bands, people tend to buy the ALBUM rather than the single. I say we find the frog and sort'im
  7. I don't wanna seem cheap but.. are any of these free? : its jst i'm only 15 and have a low budget, but love recording things. atm i use audacity or wavepad, and it's okay but more control would be nice i guess... does anyone know any decent free recording programs??? appreciate it!

    why?

Representation keeps me at bay To predetermine where the answers lay The backpage of textbooks and scriptures of God In a snowy flake or drop of rain The colours, races cultural identity Keeps my guesses atuned Tomorrow I promise i'll ask The question that always comes last... Why?
  13. i love it i love the ones where you read it, then you think.. damn i want more of this! so u jst keep reading it over and over again and it stays in ur head. u're a born poet my lad
  14. kinda loong... wrote it in Religious STudies. tells you how interesting my RS lessons are huh tehe I told him what I hungered for, the neon lights the flooding roar of people wanting more of my guitar. (pause, in case u ddnt' get the timing) I sat him down, stopped walking by, people crowded round and I held hands at arms length with my companions. "Here's a story, you'll be sorry, when everything that's good, there's more in lives of mine than lives of yours my friend." I judged by his hair, the flare gone cold in his whispy eyes, The fire died out his fame went running. He took my thumb back in my mouth, back to square 1 where i'm allowed to learn to love, to learn to clap and crawl. You see the most majority of people just like you and me Can only pretend to look tall. hvn't finishd yet! wat ya think?
  15. Okay, i've been playing guitar for year and half and I still don't have a clue about what amps are good! i have an epiphone les paul and i've heard marshalls are good but.. when i look at a catalogue and i see all these G-35XL and JE-2watnot and I get completely lost... what do i need to look for in a good amp? :'( help!
  16. hmm thanks a lot guys! its good to hear from people who know what they're talking about. I sometimes feel when I finished a song that it's just been at the same level all the way through so i'll be sure to work on it:) another kind of variation on this, song structures.. what kind should i use? I usually go for A-A-B-A-B, verse verse chorus verse chorus then end with possibly another chorus after bridge or go back to originating verse. any songs you know start off with chorus? hmm.. think think thanx for the advice anyway! i'm going to fix my comp soon and rerecord everything, add some things as well.
  17. Hi, howdy and the rest I'm planning on doing a gig later on this year but the problem with a 6-8songs set list is that it's going to be just me.. and an electroacoustic! For thsoe more experienced, I was hoping, how can you put variation on acoustic songs? I don't mean chords etc, minor major diminished etc but possibly more detail on techniques? e.g. i find it hard to add solos when its simply me, so mebe put in a varied bridge relating to original theme but then again, it jst seems like a verse without lyrics.. i saw a music video while ago where the singer uses the body of the guitar as percussion for gaps without notes... seemed.. interesting lol. hope you can help me out! how do you use your acoustic?
  18. ah, great i guess its mxtabs that is mostly USA. maybe purevolume.. i always get confused! how many people are on this forum roughly btw? just wondering are all the moderators etc musicians as well? luk forward to hearing people's views on my songs!
  19. Hi! It's nice to hear from someone I'm 15 and live in England, I think most people here are in USA. I've been playing guitar for a year and a half, and the only reason I'm making songs on acoustic is cause I lost my lead at the last concert :S and haven't bothered to buy a new one tehe. I've been song writing for a long time I think, it started with just simple poems, writing rough lyrics etc then once I got a guitar and was familiar enough with it, I really got into it. You don't want me to start telling you what kind of music I'm into, you'd be here all day! I'm into everything from Aerosmith to Zutons, Santana to Black Sabbath. Other than that, i guess i'm into rugby, athletics, drama, and the usual going out I really want to make somehting of my singing and playing guitar. I think there aren't enough oriental talent being recognised abroad, not saying I'm talent but still, just a thought! Hope to hear from people soon! Thanx a lot x
  20. hey everyone i'm young and experimenting... and made some songs relaly would appreciate hearing your views on it, how to improve etc.. click here to listen - empty lane thanx a lot
