Hello everyone I`m new here, and to writing song lyrics,

its a lot tougher than I thought. Basics is what I`m looking for

a hand with form. and critics to tell me, that sucks! or it might have a chance!..

I`m open and honest, I can`t really judge" I`m not qualified to do that.

But I can tell you if I like your work. if you read this.. thank you, and have a great day...Cisco

Welcome to songstuff!

Hope to be reading from you!!

What kind of songs do you like to write? Do you play any instruments?

~TIMOTHY~

TIMOTHY;

Yes I play guitar..lol! doesn`t everyone! I`m a country lad.. so its country.. and a little southern rock.

once in a while something a little softer sneeks in. I like to play "old country but I don`t write like that.

I`ve been around to other sites, they basiclly like my stuff, but its all out of form..why in the world does something so free" have to have so many ropes on it! LOL! "T" do you think lyrics should be straight cut"...I have words that fit music! this might not be the place to blab..you know if Monet" was sent to art school, He couldn`t have painted a wall" lol! thank you for the reply..Cisco

No not everyone, I don't play guitar. I'm a piano person, but i'm trying to learn other instruments once I get them. Like the ocarina and ukulele :) I don't know what you mean by straight cut, like straight forward is that what you mean?

Welcome on board Cisco :)

Whereabouts in the wide world are you from?

@Mazrocon: I found the hardest thing with learning the Ukulele was getting used to different chord shapes to what I'm used to, so if your a newbie to guitar like objects it shouldn't be too hard :) Oh, and if you're hands are big then you might have a little awkwardness getting fingers in the right places...

Cheers, Rohan :)

Welcome Cisco. I'm a "professional beginner" at guitar in that I just keep relearning the same few chords etc. etc. I am trying to work hard on my keyboard skills and composition skills though and will continue to work on the guitar.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing your work.

My ears perked up when I saw Ocarina. I just ordered one because I've fallen in love with the sound/music of Tingstad and Rumple. Eric Tingstad plays guitar and Nancy Rumple plays ocarina, oboe, and English horn (a sort of oboe). Kind of folky/chamber/new age sort of stuff. Worth a listen.

Hi cisco

when you mention 'it might have a chance', do you intend to publish your tunes?

Hi 'Bitstream' I`m just trying to get lyrics and music to fly..all I have is [copywrite]

thats about as far as I`ve gone. being so green" to this, I haven`t thought of publish, or pitching songs.

to be real honest the work needs help before that could ever happen. I`ll look for a forum here and load a tune..they really are just roughed" out.
