C Chord Progressions For A Verse

Hi. I have been writing a song on acoustic guitar in the key of C. I only have the chorus nailed down so far and I'm kinda stuck because I am having trouble figuring out a chord progression that complements the chorus. The progression is am, f, c, cadd9, g, g7. Does anybody have any suggestions of chord structures that sort of "rhyme" with that? here is a recording of how i play it   rec_20s.mp3

thanks. I really didn't think about adding an Em in the mix. I really appreciate your insight on this. also, i like the sound of that f. keeping that one for sure.

Usually when going to a chorus you want to differentiate the chorus as much as reasonably possible while fitting into the constraints of the style.  One way to do this is through modulation

As well, If you are going to be playing/writing music it's best to get a few more chords/keys under your belt.  The best way to do this is by learning songs.

F works well which means Dm minor will work and Am. I think Dm is a little less suttle that Em, and sets up for the C. Just a thought
