i couldn't decide between blues and rock....but i finally picked blues because "they said melancholy blues were dead and gone/but only songs like these/played in minor keys/ keep those memories holding on." - joel and charles (my boys :P )

I picked rock but I must specify it's progressive rock.

To this day, I think that was the best combination of music and layered vocals.

OMG I thought noone else loved acid polka

I actually pressed other because i have a wide ranging taste from classical, opera, Beatles, rock, Beatles, jazz, Beatles and Beatles

Lately I have been listening to a lot of Lounge music which I find really interesting in a retro way.

By the way, did I mention I like the Beatles a lot?

I think they discovered their long lost acid polka tapes about 3 years ago. Billy Preston was rumoured to have taken up the accordion just for the album. Apparently, George Martin recorded Preston and then used the tape loops in reverse. John and Paul learnt some Polish but you cant tell unless you play the record backwards.

I had to click "other," too. I didn't see Acid Polka as an option, or I might have chosen that.

I write mostly country music, but my favorite stuff to listen to is rock 'n' roll (the good stuff, like before 1970). And blues, of course--as someone already pointed out, it is the root of nearly everything else on the list. Including, I believe, Acid Polka, which was not on the list...

That's quite a diverse musical palette you've got there! From classical and opera to the Beatles (did I mention the Beatles?), jazz, and now diving into lounge music—it sounds like you really enjoy exploring different genres. The Beatles always seem to have those mysterious stories and hidden gems in their recordings, don't they? The idea of long-lost tapes and reverse tape loops definitely adds to their mystique. What's your favorite Beatles album or song?
