My name is Darrell but I write and perform under the name of Mississippi River Crooks. I have been playing guitar and writing for more years than I can remember and still enjoy doing so. I don't seem to have much luck keeping a band together but I do have a great home studio with a live-room, control room, and lounge. I mostly perform at festivals, concerts, and listening rooms rather than focusing on clubs and bars. I am set-up for Jamkazam sessions live and would love to collaborate in writing, recording and production. I prefer to work in the genre of folk, americana, progressive rock, and new grass but am open to other styles except maybe hip-hop. I just don't like working with loops and canned tracks. If it can't be performed live to a real audience, then I really am not much interested in it.
