Empuls started performing in the DMV area around 1999 regularly & quickly made a name for himself as an energetic performer to say the least. His music is a mix of raw lyricism, talent & aggressive delivery...a true-skool, hiphop fans dream. Empuls started Stonemaple Music Works in 2002 on his own but throughout the years it has grown into a local not to be overlooked and globally, beckons to reckoned with. The majority of the members of the Stonemaple Music Crew are are also on Man Bites Dog Records (based out of Woodbridge, Va), which is the indie label that Empuls is signed to. Stonemaple Music Crew: Dr. Ew (DJ/tattoo artist), Kount Fif (producer), Jay Notes (producer/mc), Empuls (mc/capo), Brinknam (producer), Puzzle Maker (producer), STAKz da Wonder Kidd (producer), Prophecy (producer) & Redd Mudd (mc/soldier/prophet...see you when you get home folk).

Puls signed with MBD (Man Bites Dog) in 2005 and created Stonemaple Music Works (Assassin Camp Promotions) in 2002. He has a plethora of groups he has belonged to, created and contributed to. He doesn't like to name drop too much so please believe when we say he has gotten around. Currently reppin Guerilla Republik DC as one of his banners, Empuls is still making waves in the DMV.
