Just a small hello

Hey! Just joined after having a random spark of inspiration for the first time in years!

 

I'm joining in hopes to rekindle that spark into the flame I know it can be.

 

I have been self teaching myself to sing for almost a decade off and on, and writing a few years moreso than that. 

I joined to share my lyrics and develop my skill further.  Thanks in advance fpr your time!

Nice to meet you twisted journey! Joining has been good for me, in the past I'd work on my original songs then give up and go back to learning covers. This is the longest stretch I've had working pretty much exclusively on my own material, since I joined. I am very happy to meet everybody here! Enjoy

Thanks a bunch! I'm in the same boat. I hit a block years ago, but something set it off yesterday and I love it! Hell, I literally had a dream last night about my folder of lyrics I lost haha.   Hope we can help each other grow!

Hi and welcome to the Songstuff family

 

Creative sparks can be cultivated, made more frequent too. Even the way you write can encourage ideas and exploration, or shut them down. I was recently talking it’s @Taking Notes about just this and I suggested some exercises and changes in  approach to help. So far it seems to have had a positive effect.

 

Taking part in a community is a useful component... but as important, is the way you take part.

Thanks a lot! I've been frequenting the challenge board, and doing exercises on paper.  It's a great way to warm up and get some words flowing for the day.  Wish I'd have found this place sooner!
