Album Announcement and a Thank You Message

I'm wondering how short this will be.... 😜

 

In 2016, I joined Songstuff as a complete bumbling noob with absolutely no idea about music-making and even lesser idea about what Songstuff was all about (yeah, I just had the idea that I wanted to sing... after a 10-year hiatus  😁). One by one, I came across and interacted with some amazing people here and started to learn so many things from them. And shocker-of-shockers, I started to realize that maybe I could write some lyrics (WHAT??) and compose some melodies (WHATT????). And now, 3 years later I see 2 back-to-back relases, an EP and LP. It feels like a dream, that I hope I won't wake up from too quickly. I want to mention some of the people here who have, in one way or another, helped me to discover myself better and go further into a path where I hope to go deeper in.. some may not be around Songstuff now, but I don't care 

 

@MonoStone, @Hobosage, @ImKeN, @Jenn, @Richard Tracey - You guys have been so helpful with your feedback every time I posted a song for critique. Ken, you have played a huge role in making me more and more aware about recording quality and related tips. I'm not quite there yet, but I remember you every time I bring out my mic 

 

@starise - My first original song was with you (those days when I would record vocals on a phone  )... and I recall the immense patience you showed with me while we were trying to work out the complicated mix. That song thread was quite a marathon here!    Thanks a lot.. and hope we can continue to work together!

 

@Pahchisme Plaid - Such a warm-hearted lady... always helping everyone out and forming unique equations with people. We bonded over a few words and you introduced me to Russ (another extremely patient gentleman), with whom I finally released my EP "Hopes and Dreams". And we're working on our next projects now  . How can I thank you enough??

 

@Vara La Fey, @moptop, @Patty Lakamp - One song brought us all together and that led to further spinoffs. It was nice to know your stories and here's hoping we can make some in the near future! Patty, u da glue-lady! 

 

@Mahesh - We may haven't interacted much... but it was a real inspiration for me to observe how a fellow Indian was making a mark in the very niche western music scene in India.. as a full time professional singer-songwriter! Cheers to a long and successful career!

 

@mateolas - (Oh.. he's a dinosaur here and will never read this message  ) - Thanks for accidentally dropping by Songstuff and accidentally sending me a spam message to collaborate... and here we are with our album - "Ellipsis" 😀. Thanks for being so "accidental" 

 

@Peggy - You're a cheerleader for everyone around here.. a real asset to SS. Thanks for cheering for me on Facebook.. it really means a lot!  😊

 

@john - You've built this site and observed the journeys of so many people along the way. Mine is just one more... but you figure so significantly in it. None of this would have happened for me if on one confused evening, I hadn't stumbled upon Songstuff. I hope this wonderful resource as well as your personalized attention can continue to service, support and inspire members for a long time... and I wish you many more successful endeavours.. thank you so much!

Listening to your "Hopes and Dreams" album right now.  I still can't get over how gorgeous and smooth your voice is! I'm so happy for you, Sumi, and I'm so glad things clicked with you and Russ as collaborators (I sort of thought you two would make a great collaborative match).😉  Congratulations!
