Track 2 from my self titled EP Just1L. Not only is this my favorite track, but it’s also my favorite video game as well. While the lyrics may not appear to make sense on the surface there’s a story behind each line, verse and chorus. When I started working on this tune I was thinking of how people normally hear music (i.e. working, driving, at a bar, etc…). Since the vast majority never know the lyrics of a song until they’ve heard it many times I was concentrating on sections that would stand out while listening. Key phrases and musical moments. Hey Just! It sounds really nice! it's a great track and the vocals are very nice. It's true that it's hard to pick up the lyrics though!

 

Anyways, great job! Thanks for sharing it here!

I love the guitar work on this!  Mix is nice and clear.  The only thing I would consider doing is to push the compression on the vocals a bit more...and add a little dirt to make them sound a little more gritty. This is just and idea of mine that I think would push them out front a bit more and help in the overall feel and vibe  of the song.

Thanks Michan. Yeah, sometimes I write straight forward lyrics, some times I like them to be a little bit of a mystery ... especially if it's something I could conceive the listener as taking as whining.
