New to creating music

Hi everyone! My name is Wolf and I've been a guitarist for going on 12 years now. A couple months ago Ive started making my own music using FL Studio to produce and I gotta say Im addicted. I just love this art form and I want to talk to people who know the ropes, pick up a few tricks and make some friends along the way. I figured this is a good place to start.

 

The kind of music I make is mostly guitar-heavy stuff with some hip hop thrown in as well. My weak point is my voice--Im not a good singer to say the least, but Id love to learn if anyone has any tips or resources to help me out.

Anyway Id also like to add that Ive always wanted to play in a band, but could never find one to join, so if anyone is in the Stockholm, Sweden area (moving there for grad school this August!) let me know, maybe we can get together and jam a bit

You can post links to your songs here, no problem with that! The only thing to take into account is that, if you want to get feedback from your songs, you have to use the critique boards.

 

If you can play guitar and also arrange stuff in the FL Studio, you have a great way covered. Lead singing is a quite important component of the song making process, but, one can always learn and improve, or, if not, collaborating with somebody able to sing!

I can't play or use FL Studio, but I'm taking singing lessons and I can help with some singing tips. Also, we are starting a Vocal Coach Academy here in Songstuff, that will include a lot of resources for vocals. Anyways we already have some resources for singers, that you can check here, and that I hope you can find helpful!

 

It's really great to have you around! Don't hesitate to drop a line to the staff if you have any doubt. And I hope you have fun checking the boards and the interaction with other artists in the forum!
