Another intro!

Hi!  I was sitting here singing along to Johnny Cash and had the random thought to find a music forum and ask:

How can I turn my natural singing talent into a marketable skill? I'm almost a senior citizen, if that makes a difference.

First of all welcome to Songstuff! It was a great random thought that you had!

Here a singer in process. In my opinion the pathway to go through depends a lot on the initial stage you are on, the level of control of your voice, hearing capacities for the pitch and melodies, and timbre of your voice. Without that it's complicated to set up a specific pathway, I think. 

Having said this, in any case, getting vocal coach and start getting involved in musical projects to gain experience and get a "portfolio" are things everybody should consider if the want to become "professional"  singers.

 

We have an amazing and experienced singer and vocal coach here in the community, @Mahesh, maybe he can give you more detailed advice!
