Hey Gang

 

Such sad news today that another music icon has passed away. 65 year old Eddie had been undergoing treatment for throat cancer but sadly lost his battle.

Was never the hugest fan of Van Halens music(nothing against it.....mainly just because of my age, it was thrust upon me without my consent :D) but his writing and guitar chops were undeniable it really is sad news.

I've heard others say it, but it does seem really true.  He brought back a real joyous abandon to rock at a time when it was getting a little broody and taking itself too seriously, to paraphrase :D
