I'm working on a new ambient/experimental project. Today I published for first time small parts of it. I have plans to release it on phisycal source if I get the chance. I hope you like it.

Certainly channeling Vangelis at times. A nice selection of musical nibbles Jim. When are you expecting to make your release?

Hi John! Once I complete the album, which I hope to be this month, it will be available in Bandcamp. And if I get lucky to raise a donation, there will be a vinyl release as well.

By the way, Vangelis is my neighbour (by country!). :)

How big a vinyl run do you plan? Whenever someone says they plan a release I am full of questions... even more so when they plan to do a physical release. How much do you need to raise? Do you have an existing fanbase?

I plan a small amount of 100 copies. I will need around $1200 for this. That's why I don't have very big hopes, as my fanbase is not very large at this point. But I want to try, because this work means a lot to me.

Have you set up a mailing list Jim? There are a load out there. I’ve looked at a bunch and compared features, pricing plans and use-ability, and mailer lite is the one I would recommend. It’s only downside is the lack of other platforms integrating it. Otherwise it has a free plan with a load of great features other mailers don’t offer until you reach the $70 per month on their paid plans.

Mailing lists are vital to developing a relationship with your fans, and these days paying attention to fan engagement is fundamental to growing your fanbase. Autoresponder features of your chosen mailer are a core tool for indie artists.

Some really lovely sounds on here, and I totally hear the Vangelis comparisons. This album could do very well considering 80's sounds are infiltrating a lot of popular music right now. Keep going man, your niche is most definitely out there!
