I always wanted to make a living with the music that I consciously & wilfully chose to write, express & share to the world.  You tend not to be bothered about any other "ways" when your muse really has you captivated.

And even though I've not released as much music as the other musician or have been able to do as much as I would have desired to, I've been constantly working my ass off. Day after day. For years. Absolutely f**king relentlessly.

 

 

And so it makes me feel so very grateful that Fading Colours has reached a quarter of a million streams in a year on Spotify, just in time for this very personal & special time of the year. All on our own. With a Songstuff bred record label, indie & DIY & all that!

 

Doing things in a way that does not compromise your creativity, drive & moral conscience is a tough wall to climb. The lack of financial stability in being fully indie doesn't help either. But being steady with your intentions and keeping as much patience as your pace can be mighty useful. That's what I learnt in these years. 

 

Thank you @john, @Peggy, @Lisa Gates, @tomcollins and all of you lovelies who've not only encouraged me over the years to keep going but supported me in ways you totally didn't have to ; but  you chose to nonetheless.
