Today February 3, 1959, Buddy Holly died in a plane accident.

 

In 2013, I have composed a song as a tribute to Buddy Holly. Here it is

You've really captured the way to reference Buddy's music. I also like the way you've kept it so easy for the listener to focus on the lyrics - they're simple, the chorus repeats a lot, you have a part the is well suited for humming (the "do do do do" part). I'm going to be trying to get this out of my head all day now! 😆
